PUNILUX, such an underrated band. I saw them live back in the late 70s at the Rock Garden, Middlesbrough. They wore weird Balaclavas and boiler suits. So artistic. They played a lot of tracks from their brilliant album Laughing Academy. It was a wild gig! Awesome band! 😊

Mick left this singer high and dry by not playing the solo when it should’ve kicked in.

Even in Bad Company days, that solo was never reproduced as such onstage. Not sure why.

Great Video. I wish I could have been there joining the Pogo crowd. We old Punks know how to Party. Just listened to my old Laughing Academy Lp yesterday when I found this today. I'm happy, smiling, thank you. And the Pirate Jacket of the Bass Player looks cool.

I can only think that after years of being on the road and long tours Mick would have enjoyed playing a low key gig in a town centre.

@@gleamingspire Thanks a lot for that Stephen, seriously thinking of getting a few mates together and journeying up to Middlesbrough for that one. I think it has to be done to see these legends. Still sounding brilliant.

Thanks for the upload. He didn't do this at Sheffield, but I was pleasantly surprised to hear 'Love You So', 'Magic Ship' and 'Come Together In The Morning'. I never thought that I would see him sing 'Come Together' (probably my favourite Free song), as on record, it very much feels like a Paul Kossoff masterpiece, with that haunting solo that is impossible to reproduce live. Although I felt that the guitarist overplayed it at Sheffield, I was still genuinely moved to hear Paul Rodgers sing it live.

Not bad at all boys. Paul Rodgers is an icon in the rock vocals you did your best to cover him which is hard. the band is solid and vocals are decent.
