Every programmer I knew said they cannot find a reason to not use an audio middleware. It really depends on the project, but it mostly a free powerful tool that could save you too much time, and bring more joy. The decisions you made ultimately determine how your project would turns out, as a audio person, if a developer approach me and refuse to use middleware without a good reason, it's a hint that they cannot make good decisions on most of the thing. It's hard to evaluate something you don't fully understand, so you could always consult experienced people, your peers, people you might work with to get more information.

Beautifully succinct argument for using middleware! Particularly in how the help standardise the way we implement sounds into the engine, without having to learn much new for each project. Great video!! Thanks for making it!!!

For global sampler you can put it in your monitor fx instead of the master track since a lot of people never use monitor fx and you can forget about it. I don't really get the point of Content Navigator.. how it different from just using the track manager?
@AkashThakkarAudio
@AkashThakkarAudio 2 ай бұрын
Yup! I show that Monitoring FX off in another video. Track Manager is fine, but the content navigator is infinitely faster when you have hundreds of tracks.

Damn, finally got around to trying this and it didn't work out well. I basically can only get scratching noises. Even a heartbeat is really faint or not perceptible at all. Wondering if I did something wrong, but I bought the exact same parts and don't really see how I could have screwed it up. I used a Behringer C-2 for the mic, but everything else is the exact same.

@@lucienmontandon8003 The paranormal FX router script for Reaper is more comparable with FX grid in Bitwig, but if you are looking for an equivalent to Polygrid for modular sound designing, then I'd recommend the free and open source plugin Cardinal.

I'm 54 and a songwriter/composer all my adult life. With my Dyspraxia and ADHD and sensory processing disorder, I've lived a life of losing joe jobs. A few years ago I got tired of playing in bars to drunks and started trying to write library music. I've sold one track out of about 40 uploaded. This last year I've decided to commit to video games as a possible career. I'm learning sound design and am completing a four year degree in audio and music production. With ADHD, everything from cleaning the house to sitting down and learning something in audio production is a massive challenge for me. I go to youtube to try to find out how to do something, 15 videos later I have no clue why I went to youtube. But at lest I am zoned into games now as a composer and sound designers. I've done my first game jam and am working with another guy on his game now. It's a nice feeling of finally stopping and settling on something.

Maybe I am crazy but I am learning and creating sounds and making music like 36 hours weekly at minimum and I can't live without it. If I would be working daily in some company it would be my dream come true. 😎 I am just afraid that my wife and kids would never see me again, probably... 😂 Btw I am in the making of my first showreel but I am doing music and sfx for over 10 years now so here you have a point. Not laziness just being afraid if I am good enaugh. 😅

A friend of mine has been working on a game for several years. Turns out it's Normalizing! Thank you very much for this video-I've shared it with them, as well as your playlist for Game Sound Design, which we're both prepared to binge!
