This program is a pure shit, unintuitive interface for the simplest of tasks, crashes all the time, and makes things more complicated than they really are anywhere else, 0/10 - If something makes you nostalgic about Windows Movie Maker you know it's bad.

This is so much easier to use than Openshot. Downloaded 3.2.1 a few days ago and it was *bloated*. I couldn't do anything with it. But now I have Shotcut and it is so much better! Sure everything is in filters, but it is so much easier to just do anything, especially putting text on it.

is it normal that the "menu" below the newly created filter of text: rich does not appear? (in other words: the settings for the text does not appear. what do I do?)

Well what these people been using? Window Movie maker? I used shotcut because da vince and blender way much more tougher... As any rational person, shotcut might be my favorite but tech wise capcut really more advanced.. I might use capcut to cut down those work... Just don't like the money hogs, tictoc going around capcut, i got the feeling it will turn into Apple's mentality...

I have a video that was shot vertically on a phone. I've imported it into Shotcut hoping zoom in on the middle and have a horizontal video. But although the video zooms, Shotcut won't expand the video -- it keeps it vertical. This is so weird and unfortunate.

EJ tech don't use capcut its a security risk. This is because its own by the same company that made tiktok. Also capcut can see any video/image you upload and its stored on their servers

An artits friend of mine does animatics and can only post once a year max, because it takes so much time aspecally with everything else going on in her life and she still grew quite a high number. Peronally I sometimes manage to upload once per month but sometimes it just doesnt work aspecally if I get a lot of artcommissions. I ually do draw with mes and animations. So first I have to get the artwork done while recording it and then I can finally edit it, but no wait. I also write a script and then record a voice over, then its time for editing plus drawing a thumbnail. I don´t know if I will be ever able to have an actual shedual XD PS I found another quaestion for shotcut latley: Is there a stabalizer function in the program? You know, when the recoring edend up a bit shaky because I bumbed against the cam or so?

I'm guessing the image file has to be something like a png file which has an alpha channel in it, so you get the transparent background behind the image you want to animate. Is there anything you have to do so shotcut recognizes transparency in images?
