in your honest opinion, is the 100F really that much softer wide open than the 100V? if so what about at F2.8? just wondering if all the negative about the soft lens is blown out of proportion. Thanks

The recipe I use most of the time is somewhat different from the Classic Chrome recipe of yours: My basis is Classic Chrome + DR400 + WB Auto (R+1, B-2) + HL-1 + SH+1 + Sharp+0 + NR-4, usually with EV +1/3 to +2/3. I deliberately use DR400 so that I can expose for the mid tones without worrying too much about the highlights.

That was some amazing detective mathematics that you devised to narrow down the search for the lost Mini2 drone based on wind speed and direction. Hearing that you walked right past the drone the day after it crash-landed, yet didn't spot it, inspires hope that my AWOL Mavic 1 Pro fitted with a jumbo battery and missing in action during a 12-mile Litchi waypoint mission last month, may yet show up since my phone numbers are scrawled on the chassis. The over-engineering of DJI drones is a thing of wonder, and seeing that muddied and repeatedly soaked Mini 2 flying perfectly after being subjected to the elements for weeks on end is testimony to DJI's design and manufacturing philosophy. Superb presentation by the way sir. You speak with the measured cadence of a seasoned raconteur, cutting to the chase with none of the usual KZfaq waffle. That'll be 5 quid for the free compliment.

Wow.. I love the X100-line of cameras and have owned the X100F a long time, maybe got it 6 months after its release, BUT - The lens.. you cannot shoot landscapes, the focal plane is really weird, even at F11 if you focus on the horizon and then recompose the shots get blurry, and the focal plane is all over the place.. The AF is not really good at all, its always about 1cm behind the subject.. Not an issue from F5.6 and upwards but.. yea.. The x-trans raw files are horrible and sadly do not work with Adobes new Ai Denoise function - you get the weird grid pattern everywhere in the shot like sometimes when you shoot directly into the sun /the sun behind the subject. No no no, this camera is so restricted image quality wise. I cannot recommend it to anyone.. The potential jpeg image quality with the DR400 function is amazing if only fujifilm had let you do an in camera curve adjustment.. They totally missed the mark with this camera, almost everything is a problem /issue, and thats not how a camera is supposed to work. I would instead recommend the cheap Panasonic GX80 /GX85 with a cheap manual TTArtisans 17mm f/1.4 lens everyday.

Great video! I recently picked up the X100F. To get even a more “film-like” shooting experience, I often use the View Mode button to turn the rear display off, so I’m only looking for the viewfinder. I too try to get the jpeg image the way I want it straight out of camera, but I like your idea of shooting raw+jpeg just in case I want to apply a different film simulation / recipe later.

I will give Apple credit for trying something other computer manufactures never have. It's not perfect, but I do (personally) like my Touch Bar. But I had to get a Mac with a physical escape button. That was a non-negotiable.

I just bought the mini SE. It’s challenging to fly it in deserts of Southern California because it’s often very windy. I’ve learned from your experience and I will be more cautious when the winds are strong. Have a great time flying.

I've got the chance to buy the X100F for around 650€ right now, but the hatch of the EVF is broken. So OVF or cover it with something else to be able to use the EVF. What do you guys think? Still a worth deal?

I dont fly my drone passed where i can see it. i almost lost it one time. screen froze on me, battery low, and i was stressed for it was only 3 weeks new. $500 (at the time) down the drain i tought. but then it came back! that was my Stupid move that i have NOT REPEATED since then. lol

im a razer fan boy...i still love how the phone looks but it's specs...feels underwealming from the games now a days. also they said it has nice cooling but youtube 10 minutes and phone already feels hot at 1080p res and 60hz
