I’ll sub for a free pair of PFs. I have a few pairs of their last issue with the selvedge stripe on the back. Black, white, and red highs. My favorite style. These new ones don’t have the original rigid wedge foam insole. It’s just a flat piece of pretty cheap foam. Doesn’t really matter, though. Most people take out the insole and replace it with their own. I do that. Probably why they stopped putting effort into that and maybe focused more on the upper. At Footlocker I also noticed the canvas was stiffer. Hope it lasts longer, but I never had problems with the canvas. It did feel like the difference between a regular converse all star and a 70. Thicker. Thanks for the review. No one reviews PFs and it’s a shame. They’re awesome.

I'll go ahead and say it, local hicks ! I won't give them the honor of calling them redneck. Yah, that was a bad situation. I had my own encounter in Uwharrie a few months ago. Someone at 4:30 in the morning was creeping around my tent, lighting up (flashlight), my tent at all different angles. I was pretty deep in the birkhead wilderness area. I'm not going to let these losers discourage me from camping in Uwharrie. I believe that's their goal.

Does the PVC pipe really hold? It looks like the PVC pipe is going to move up when the bands are used causing the bands to contact the wood (causing friction and damage to the bands, and the plate). Has anyone else tried this??? Curious if it really works.

Did you get the misfire figured out? Just wanted to say mine had a misfire and my mechanic was bolting parts on till I was crazy. Nothing worked, and he said maybe the injectors are euchred don’t waste more money. I got looking at it and stripped back the wires going to the cylinders(coils) and whaddya know, the wire was broken inside the sheathing. Rigged up a jump wire…no more misfire! Wanted to suggest this as I was losing my mind till I found it, nd did not need to spend all that money, cheers

Very good video, I almost always wear flip flops and sandals. Tevas for me is the best brand of sandals without a doubt and also flip flops. It is true and I share what you say in the video that there are times to wear flip flops is complex because of its little grip or as you said if "you have to make a jump or somersault fall" .... I have used different models and brands of flip flops on the market such as oofos or vionic and even some orthopaedic models of well-known brands. Compared to other normal flip-flops, they have a very good grip system thanks to their arch, which does not separate the foot from the sole when walking and the toes do not have to be forced. I would like to know, What brand or model of flip flops have you used? Very good video, I would like to see the progress over time of these sandals or their comparison with other models.

@@cwkralovec1988 Great to hear. Yes, I've had a few Troopers over the years. Hot and heavy back in 1999-2005 when I first got married and starting having kids. Had a 93 MT that I used for some moderate off-roading. Had a lift, 33's, low gears, front locker, rear lsd. Lots of fun in Moab, Colorado, and several other states off-roading, just underpowered. Sold it (and my donor vehicle) in 2005 and just did life (5 kids etc) then in 2021 purchased a 1993 Opel Monterey RS 3.1TD (Trooper sold in Germany). It has been my project Trooper...engine still in pieces...had to replace the frame. So in the meantime, in 2022, I picked up a 1997 Trooper (USA spec). So I use that to do camping trips/offroading. Planning on solid-axle swapping the Monterey...we'll see. So I'm not an expert, but I know quite a bit about 2nd gen Troopers (92-97 especially) from wrenching on them. I've got the service manuals if you ever need a reference.

I enjoyed your video. I disagree about wearing socks with Top Siders, or any other shoes except some sandals in certain conditions. I think it’s that my style is gauche. I just got a new pair at Macy’s, $110.00, the AO ones. I still wear the old ones that I had resoled with Sebago Dockers soles and years ago I replaced the leather laces with paracord and I replaced the insoles with aftermarket ones that are easier on my feet. Another thing I do is run my Top Siders and my New Balance trainers through the washer now and then with my 501’s. Speaking of which, how about a video on how you take care of your denim?
