They did leave it out in the show. But the light Novel, it is Elinalise, who convinces Roxy to do that thing with rudeus. It was one of the only big things they shouldn’t have cut.

Tbh most of the problems I have is with left out stuff. Best example is Sara's backstory, which makes her seem like a much worse person than she actually is. We also should've gotten the Eris update while Rudeus had his 1v1 with Badigadi. When we finally get the update no one will have remembered the random girl that was at the academy for that one day... But overall it's pretty great

Not only did he nearly condemn a victim and what would be a illegitimate child to death after putting her in that position to begin with but he forced his wife to compromise her morals.

If I'm correct, Nanahoshi only got there when the Teleportation Misplacement thing happened, her "Isekai age" is technically only 6. Remember, she got transported as a normal human while Rudeus got reborn 11 years before she had gotten there.

If you think Re Zero is dark just wait till season 3 get to the second part (Arc 6) that shit is just on another level when it come to being disturbing.

The ability of subaru is rbd as you know but if you really want spoilers i will tell you ( please dont read this if you dont want spoilers because it is important and introduced very later into the story ) He can somewhat use the authority of the witch of envy because she somehow loves him ??? ( We still dont know why ) the ability works like this when subaru gets killed he meets satella and she asks him if he wants to continue if he says yes then she restarts it for him but like on the condition that he will forget his conversation with satella also the authority are like some sort of powers that are opposite to divine protections in the re zero world but much much stronger than them. She also sets the restart point for him because in the later arcs his rbd start to malfunction like his restart points are literally bad ( not gonna tell because of spoilers ).

It's been like 3-4 years since I watched the first 2 seasons but I remember I got whiplash from the unexplained shift in events in the first part of S2. It was very story based and time travel based in S1 but then it took a shift I didn't expect with the Subaru's parents episodes and the whole arc about loving yourself. I'm open to all types of stories so that wasn't really the problem but I found it pretty jarring. I also couldn't fully focus on the other events for a few episodes because I kept wondering to myself why Subaru didn't ask or try to figure out anything about Satella when she just pulled up to the tea party. That was what he's been trying to figure out for like 36 episodes bruh. I don't usually rewatch things but I think I may rewatch both seasons before S3 since it's been so long and look at it in a different light. But Rezero is DEFINITELY not underrated it's like one of the most popular anime in general and definitely top 3 most popular isekai.
