Scania to drivers and freight operators: Drop your speed from 90 km/h down to 80, and you save 10% fuel and only arrive 1% later. 80 is plenty fast. Texas truck driver: Hell if I want to slow from 90 mi/h down to 80. I would go 95 if my 3 times retreaded tires would hold together. I don't get paid to save fuel. I get paid to haul as much as possible. 90 mi/h is still too slow.

It's crap. Instead of keeping a set speed, it speeds up and slows down all the time. This causes huge frustration to other drivers. I've been cut up and other things due to this happening. Bluntly it's crap, and what's more you can't turn it off. I just stopped using cruise control which does not help economy at all.
