Would never own SeaFox boat again! Nightmare experience with warranty hull repair at factory! SeaFox had the boat 5 months and would not return my phone calls! Run to other manufacturers.

My Terrova gotr to my home today. I am going to get it installed on Tuesday and will try it out on Tuesday afternoon. I'm really excited about this motor. I haven't had a boat in 25 years. When I lived in Central Florida, I had a Minn Kota with Auto Pilot and I loved that motor. This was before the GPS and all of that, but I could just point it and put the motor on about #1 setting and fish a grass line for the longest time and not have to do anything but FISH. I bought my latest boat 4 months ago and I came with an old Motor Guide and it was not good. I saved my nickels (about $1,800 worth) and got me a Terrova. I'm real excited!

Why would you do such a disservice to thar boat? You had no product knowledge, you did not even realize the second bedroom was even a bedroom you referred to it as sitting quarters and you never showed the fly bridge. That boat showing was not half ass it was a quarter ass showing. Terrible job you need to get out of boat and tacht sales all together.

just purchased and had mine installed bY BPS tuesday 3-12-24 during the Triple Crown Special ( free install + used my VIP discount saved over $500 ) ... didn't even think about the foot pedal thing ... mine came with it and was already connected ... I like the idea / option of not having to have the pedal .... now im even more excited to use it next week

Hi, I'm thinking about having them install mine, did you have to program it on the water ? Yourself?
@djradrs1992 ай бұрын
@@wendellbirch8174 It's pretty much ready to go out of the box ..... especially when you have it installed ..they verify everything is GOOD TO GO only thing I had to do was hit the on button on the trolling motor and the on the WHITE GPS UNIT , and turn on the remote control ..... no programming was needed .... just be careful when using the ANCHOR / SPOT lock feature ,,, if you are moving forward at a good rate and you hit SPOT LOCK the head will almost instantly spin around to bring the boat back to the point where you engaged the spot lock ... and your CABLES may wrap around the shaft more than recommended .... SO dont be hauling ASS and hit spot lock ... or your BUTT cheeks might pucker a bit LOL .... ( like mine did !! ) if you plan on getting a compatible graph the will work thru the supplied transducer ... then you might want then to do a more detailed operation tutorial with ya....but I think its also pretty much basic if you are using just the 2D sonar as connect the supplied cables /adapters and away you go... but if you get into setting up chart plotting way points . auto piolet thru the graph then YA programming is involved ....

Thanks for the video. Can you lock the direction of the boat in spot lock mode? I noticed sometimes when I am spot lock in a back eddy or swirl current that the boat does 360's as its confused on the current direction.
@Boats-Plus4 ай бұрын
I wish there was but unfortunately there's no way to lock in a direction using the spot lock feature because its always trying to find the most efficient way to hold you in place.

Aren't enclosed center console fishing boats with sliding doors / curtains preferable for fishing offshore in the most physically taxing conditions. Too much heat or cold puts a drain on your stamina thru out the day. It's not a manly thing, it's a better energy preserve / reserve thing for the physical body. The A/C or heat can make fishing more comfortable, sustaining longer hours on the water. Especially for the elderly to stay safer that love the water.

Depending on options, one like this would be around $3 million.
@rogrambo8 ай бұрын
The Scout dealer I spoke to about it said I could get in the "base model" for 1.8 million, and with all of the options 2.6 million. I have been fishing offshore professionally, competitively and recreationally for most of my 50 years. I have been on every boat you can name. This is my ultimate fishing fantasy right here. This boat has actually inspired me to get some other things in the works to generate wealth. Find a video with the gunwales lowered. It will blow your mind. I imagine fishing over the flower gardens on a real calm day with those down. And just dragging in big yellow fin and wahoo like I'm pulling a channel cat up onto the bank! Apparently looking at the above comment that cost more than I was told

@@rogrambo do you prefer outboard engines or inboard engines?
@rogrambo8 ай бұрын
@@marcsmilen6565 I like outboards for the responsiveness and for being easy to get to. Inboards and inboard outboards are great when they are running perfectly etc. and they do get better fuel consumption than outboards do. A lot of my fishing is 100 miles offshore, and I need to get out there and get back the same day. So that whole 70 mi an hour thing is really appealing to me. It's hard to find a fishing vessel with inboards that will do that. A perfect offshore vessel for me well it would be the Scout 530 lxf, but as far as something a little less expensive, say the Grady-White 360 with triple 400. Luhrs typically makes an inboard convertible, but they made a 29 ft center console that I absolutely fell in love with. It had twin 375 on it. And it would run upwards of 60 miles an hour. Now half the time you can't run that fast offshore anyway because of the conditions. I love center consoles, but I want a cabin area with sleeping quarters and a head for women on board that need to use the restroom and to make the number 2's easier on men. 😁 Another reason I prefer outboards for the most part is that there is no hull penetration involved with them. I'm not relying on a seal keeping water out of the boat.
@TheVonMatrices7 ай бұрын
@@rogrambo Thanks for the info. It's impossible to find actual prices online, so I appreciate you telling us. The Scout 530 is also a fantasy boat for me. It's luxurious without compromising on practicality.
