Before this came out, the only other affordable "replica" was the AMT model kit, which included a phaser, communicator, and tricorder. They weren't the most accurate and were all undersized. I have one of the originals and it's a decent toy, although I was annoyed by all the screw holes. However if you think that's bad, the Communicator had a giant, molded belt clip on the back, ensuring that you couldn't set it down flat on a table. I would have preferred them to add a metal clip fastened to the back with screws. At least then it could be removed. They always cut corners with "toys". For example, the communicators on the show always made a distinctive sound when they were opened. The Playmates one has a button on the side to activate this sound. Why couldn't they have made it trigger the sound automatically when you open it? Fun fact: The black part on top is a type-1 hand phaser, that was often seen being used by itself on the show. In Star Trek canon, the type-1 phaser slots into the pistol grip to make a type-2 phaser, however that was never actually shown on the show. They either had the small type-1, or the pistol-like type-2 and you never saw them put them together or take them apart. In fact, back when I originally watched the show (in syndicated reruns), I never even knew that the pistol was supposed to have one of the little phasers on top, I just figured it was a gun. .

Yes what you said is true but I prefer the elite one over the Disney park one because at least the elite one has the blaster deflect and wall cutting sound yeah it's not good that the parts aren't rubber they're plastic but still I think you would get more use out of the elite one over the Disney parks one but hey that's just me

I have a grail replica - but a much cheaper one (less than $30 from Amazon) and I think the RR one doesn't look any better. Shocked at the price to be honest, and that very pronouced grooved surface that I can see in the RR one is not visible in the film version. The film grail appears to be much smoother than what Regal Robot made here.

I don’t know if it’s because they are older now but I’ve been pretty lucky paying anywhere from $115-$180 for all the light sabers I have. I feel like for those prices it’s pretty good buy.

I started collecting these and some of the Star Wars helmets and now my wife is looking at me like I’m crazy because we’re running out of space I bought my son the Yoder black series FX the Darth Vader black series the one that has the two little red things on the side I don’t remember his name And the printers layer that just came in today. I have the storm trooper helmet the Darth Vader and the Luke Skywalker in the Mandalorian black series helmets. I think for the price they are really nice especially some you could find on sale like the princess Leia I think I paid $120 on Amazon, I think I paid a little more like 180 and I think I paid $100 for all the helmets except Darth Vader. I think I paid 130 for the dark Vader helmet black series. I also have a few of the cheaper Amazon light sabers and they work pretty well and they take a beaten. I may put up a video of all our Star Wars stuff soon.

Anyone considering the Wested should also look at Bill Kelso, and Steele And Jones. I had an original Wested (back when it was Leather Concessionaires) made in 1987. I have a Steele And Jones coming to me this week. Steele and Jones offer a custom service, where they'll send you a cotton test jacket so that you can make amendments to the jacket before you cut to the chase. Kelso have amazing leathers. Anyone thinking of getting an Indy jacket should do the research and check those guys out.

The medallion is fantastic. It looks great, but the plastic stand is junk. My original I received was broken and so was the replacement. Snapped off of the base with the remaining piece stuck in end of the medallion. I can’t recommend buying it unless you plan on using it with a chain to wear.

There are a lot of differences between anh esb and rotj movie props , like the esb version had a larger chin vent so the actor could see better, the eyes were brown also the contures are different. But the difference between the black series and any of those versions are way off, like the eyes being to big
