This type of behavior isn't cute it's dominant. This is when you become the pack leader. And instruct the dog to move. Dog's want structure and need leadership.

This is the exact same with my cat, she is nowhere to be seen until you are trying to walk somewhere in the house and suddenly she's sprawled out in the middle of the walkway and meows at the top of her lungs if I try to walk passed over her ect
