The love story of SHK & LBH should not be called a scandal because at that time, they were single & nobody can judge thaf it was wrong for them to fall in love. For her relationship with HB, their break ul was expected for loveteam was brought about by the dream of their fans after watching their great chemistry in their drama, World Within.Fans were excited , began shipping them as onscreen & hoping for them to end as real off screen couple. However, they were not meant for each other because they broke up amicably, never made any contact nor any communication with each other then. After her, HB had many gfs prior to his marriage to SYJ. Again, it is improper to call their short relationship a scandal. As for her divorce with SJK, it eas a betrayal done by SJK on the love & trust of SHK. To be fair, Twice's Mina also received criticism for her supposedly less than stellar pronounciation of korean in their earlier songs. Pointing out your non-korean status to a korean audience is definitely a hit or miss, no in-betweens, you're either charming enough to pull it off to become funny or interesting (Such as Momo) or you single yourself out as an outsider (Here, Moka).

It isnt unreasonable for her to speak some Japanese, since she's spoken in Japanese a lot longer than she has Korean. Does ILLIT have a lot to work on?
