I wish I had this type of support when I was growing up. I was born with a congenital heart defect and it wasn't until I was in my teens that my Parents learned that those who have been on the Heart/ Lung Machine can develop learning difficulties, such as short term memory loss. Given, I was born around the start of the 90's, in the Rockies, so Staff didn't have a lot of knowledge that they do now, but it would have helped save my Parents and me unnecessary frustrations. My Parents were frustrated that I couldn't remember the same way as my older sibling and the other kids in my class. I struggled in school and wished that I could remember whatever the teacher assigned to us by the time I got home. I could pay attention and participate well in class, but for the life of me, I couldn't remember what all I needed to do when I got home from school! Because of this and additional criticism from my Dad, I have struggled with self esteem issues. This is why I think it's important to fully disclose possible side effects from medical procedures and possible side effects of medical treatments. While I wish I could have this type of support (& I'm sure my Parents too!), I'm glad there's more Awareness today. ❤

And anyone else thought that they would edit Walt's DOB? He wouldn't actually be a senior in the fall since he is 15 in the series. He would either be a sophomore or junior.

I love how scenecore the outfits that Vita looks at are! This is so late 2000's-early 2010's aesthetic.

The cartoon came out in 08,when I was 4-5. The book came out in May 2010,before I turned 7. (03 baby, but grew up on 90s Sesame Street) But I didn't know about either until close to December 2019.

@@ofcatsandcrepes2080 Boston Children's actually doesn't know why they muted it. And I didn't know about the Zebrafish comic or cartoon until about November or December 2019,so I never knew about Generation Cures until 3 years after it closed. Read the books first in December 2019,then the cartoon in 2022. The 1st book was better than the 2nd,mostly cause Tanya's remission felt rushed, and Vita was ruder and kissed Jay without asking first.

Anyone think Tanya was a jerk to Walt in this episode? I thought she was mean. But I get why she's grumpy. What's worse is that the conflict between the siblings wasn't resolved at the end of the episode.

Yeah, Vita is bratty to her in this episode, but it is before she learns that Tanya has leukemia. Like Vita gets some character development. Also the "Heeelps" at the end are sending me.

@@ofcatsandcrepes2080 I swear Tanya had been crying before Vita walked into her. I'm judging by the context that this episode Tanya gets diagnosed offscreen, and that's why her and Walt couldn't show up. Have you read the Zebrafish graphic novels? The characters, especially Vita, have a lot better personality. The graphic novel is how I found out about the cartoon.
