Why not a video on diagnosing and finding the fault on the ram VS cooking the ram stick and hoping it works after. Showing people this will just make it worse 99% of the time. If someone is on here watching your video on how to do this then they shouldn't be fiddling with the memory stick in the first place. Granted people who want to learn repair need to start somewhere but hopefully not on actual good memory sticks. After watching this I really think I should make a video finding the fault on a ram stick in all situations. I do these kind of repairs for a living on a daily basis. I just fixed 1 CORSAIR DOM. TITANIUM DDR5 32GB 6400MHZ desktop memory stick. Customer told me his PC wouldn't boot with this stick in. The memory stick would get really hot but nothing else. I tested it on my test bench and used a thermal cam. Low and behold there was one capacitor that was cooking. I checked it and it was short to ground. Once the capacitor was removed the PC would boot with the stick but was unstable every few minutes and failed my memory tests for tight timings. I found the schematic to that memory stick and figured out what the correct capacitor was. Order 100 pcs and once arrived I soldered it on and the memory stick was stable with no issues. If someone had the same issue I did and just followed these steps they would have just cooked the memory stick more than likely and killed all the memory ic's rendering it complete junk wasting 150$ + down the drain. I'm not trying to be mean but this just makes it worse for us professionals trying to diagnose the problem. That stick would have been a no fix if they tried this before coming to me.

Very helpful comment . Thank you very much. I did find it very helpful. And adding a little thing to your comment, wouldn't you think it was a good idea to have an oscilloscope to make sure that capacitor was pulled was thr reason to keep the voltage stable rather than just a backup decoupling cap that's meant to be just in case something went wrong? I mean surely , in the oscilloscope it would show the voltage ripples wheres the capacitor was removed. Also where did you find such schematics that mentioned the capacitance of the capacitor that you replaced ?

Also another addition , for amateurs like me who don't have the budget to afford a professional thermal cam, a rosin flux atomizer pen is very helpful.
