How could you leave out Excelsior Brewing Company? 2 blocks from the lake, it’s in the center of town, and the closest taproom you’ll ever see resembling Cheers. Everybody knows your name! 🍻

I think your channel is about to get flooded (pun intended) with fed up Houstonians like myself who are considering moving to Minnesota after Hurricane Beryl. I've visited Minneapolis a few times and I've been considering moving there for the past year. The hurricane pretty much sealed the deal. It's a great city with wonderful people! I'm a little worried about getting good Mexican food, but I can cook, lol. Also wondering how I'll be received at Target Field as a diehard Astros fan 🤣

What about East Harriet? Big city lots, boulevard, excellent community, walkable to restaurants, right off Harriet. You missed one of the best ones! :(

I’m so glad I found your channel! I’m a few years out from making the move (on the 3 year plan) but am starting to look early! Any recommendations on neighborhoods where I could walk to a coffee shop, cafe, restaurant, etc? Right now I’m eyeing Saint Anthony park neighborhood but would love to look at more options!

My family relocated from Austin, Texas to Morningside, Edina, Minnesota and worked with Jesse to purchase a great home. We have been thrilled and would never change Morningside for any other neighborhood we have come across. Great shopping, easy trips to anywhere (Guthrie Theater garage to our driveway in 12 minutes, our home to MSP airport parking in 19 minutes) and fantastic schools. Thanks for this great neighborhood tour!

Thank you for this! I used to live in Rogers when I was in fifth grade back in 2002-2003ish but had to move to back to my home state Texas. I miss Rogers so much! The library, the antique stores on Main Street, the weather. Everything there was just so cozy! I’ve been wanting to go back and visit but haven’t been able too. So once again, thank you for this! 🥹💕

Thank you for this video! I’m looking to move to Woodbury in the near future. I live in Frisco Texas a suburb of Dallas in North Texas. I love Texas but I’m so tired of our hot summers and looking to move where it’s much cooler. Snow will be an adjustment but I’m ready to tackle that. The global warming will just get worse especially in Texas.

Got a tip for you. Some of the most beautiful neighborhoods are secret, hidden. You probably know about Excelsior, Greenwood, Deephaven. Check here: 44°54'44.1"N 93°33'31.5"W it's a secret spot to drop a kayak in an incredible neighborhood, hidden away, bring a bike to ride around.

You'll never regret keeping a AAA membership. You WILL need it at some point for something...frozen locks, dead battery, towing services, breakdown, stranded, etc. Just about everyone has went in the ditch, got stuck in a sowbank, slid into or got slid into at least once

I thought you might mention the skyway systems, Mpls in particular. I think it's the longest in the world. You can walk for miles around downtown and never have to step outside. St Paul's skyway is no slouch either, although it's not nearly as impressive as Mpls. One could spend an entire day exploring the restaurants, shops, delis, etc. Also, the Mall of America, Minnehaha Falls, all the apple orchards and golf courses, the abundance of nature trails, and the miles upon miles of off street bike trails in St Paul. And all the summer festivals, outdoor concerts and special events, such as the rib and beer and chili festivals, uptown art festival, and plethora of live music venues. There's also a huge population of weekend people that spend weekends "up at the cabin" they own on one lake or another all the way up to the BWCA. You could make many hours of videos on popular activities here, especially with all the lakes. They're not limited to 3 seasons either. There's hunting, ice fishing, snowmobiling, tons of winter activities. Yes, it's cold, but more than half the winter days here are calm, sunny, and not unbearably cold. Personally, fall and winter are my favorite seasons here.

By the way, what band are/were you in? What genre? The 80's and 90's rock and metal scene here is lengendary... second to none. I have young people tell me what a cool era that was to experience. I lived in LA 89 to 92 and as fun as that was, it just didnt have the same energy as the Twin Cities scene. LA metal scene was stuck on pop/hair metal bands...image conscience cookie cutter GNR-type bands paying clubs to play a few songs, in hopes of being discovered. The music here was more creative and progressive...better. You're too young to have been there but I'm sure you've heard all about it. It was the best 2 decades to be a young adult in the Twin Cities music scene!

Uptown and lake street specifically is a really fun place. Sure, it's a bit weathered to look at, but it's still a great place to be. Hardest part to deal with is if you need street parking in the winter, since it's hard for the plows to navigate the alleys and keep ice from packing down on the streets.
