That just comes down to why someone would buy an audiobook instead of a hard copy book. That’s a whole other video topic! Personally, however, Audible has completely changed my life. I’m an auditory learner and growing up I never had good reading comprehension skills. With a full-time job and a KZfaq channel, I also find it extremely convenient to listen during a commute or later at night. It’s a massively important series of benefits for me. Other audiobook app users, whether Audible or not, typically say similar things.

I’m sorry to hear about the condition and I hope things turn out okay! Fortunately, you can still use Audible without a subscription as you get to keep all the books you purchased even if you cancel.

Unfortunately you will lose the credits. I understand you take time to choose the books but the only thing that can really be done about this is to use the credits before canceling the membership.

@@SamuelEarth I found myself, there is option called 'Pause membership' which won't charge you for a couple of months, no new credit added, also you could keep your existing credits. You can cancel the subscription before they bill you at the end of the free trial. It is a free credit that comes with that trial and if you buy the books you need with the credits, you get to keep them forever no matter what even if you cancel your subscription. I hope that answered both!

This is true and if I’m not mistaken, this is not up to Audible. It’s actually up to someone involved in the production or publishing of the book itself, presumably the author or publisher. I normally do book reviews on this channel and it drives me insane when authors do this on their books so I always make sure to mention it in the review!

Yeah I know they’d been popularized in the last decade or so but writing out the video I looked it up and I remember seeing that they’ve been around MUCH longer.

If you only have Audible, unfortunately no. This would be super cool and I’ve been waiting for them to do it - the closest thing they have is called WhisperSync but it requires a Kindle.

Sorry about that! This is as simple as I could make it. There may be other KZfaq channels who explain it in a way that’s more easy to understand and reiterate, but I’ve seen many of those videos and the downside of it is that they leave out details people will have questions about as soon as they first open the app, such as where everything even is. I figured I may as well address that upfront for example.
