It's hard to imagine what a big difference a deflector makes, if you've never had one before. It's best to just give it a try for yourself!

You can leave the deflector in with the top up. No one can fit in those back seats anyways . . .

That’s not a “air intake”. It’s ONLY a side vent.

It is the intake side for the engine, the right side is a vent for cooling the engine.

This is a good product! BUT, The instructions are a one-page picture set of instructions with no words or measurements. You must pry off the "covers" of the seat belts. FIGURE out on your own where to drill two holes in the plastic covers. On the passenger side there is a metal mechanism that is very close to the plastic. The PLASTIC bolt that they give you to use is too long. I had to cut 7 threads off to get it to fit. I did both sides to make sure it did not hang up on anything. I just did a 50 kile interstate ride. And it works very well! Just take your time. It takes about an hour.

There are installation instructions on the cabriosupply website. They are 10 pages long, but they don't cover the issue you (and I) ran into on the passenger (USA) side. I had to take out the bracket and sensor that was in the way in order to drill the hole, attach the bolt, washer and nut, then cut off the excess from the plastic bolt. After that, the metal bracket fit back in with no wiggle room at all. Having a nut/washer combination and a smaller plastic bolt would help. The instructions need to show installation on both sides, or better yet provide a video. Not everyone would have been comfortable with this installation. The bracket is for the PIFA antenna that is used to connect the car to the internet. This was feature was introduced starting in the 2018 model year, Both the instructions and the supplied parts need to be updated for these later model years.

I really think the rack is on backwards.... The raised rail should go on back to stop things from sliding off the rack!!

Dear Webchez you are wrong, the raised bar is a safety measure to prevent luggage forward in case of an emergency brake stop. It’s even required by law to install the rack this way unforntunately a lot of people are doing it wrong because the see others driving with the rack backwards. We have been producing racks since 2006 and we know everything about road safety measures and all our products have been tested by an independent institute. Best regards, Team Cabrio Supply

A storage bag can be ordered for an additional 19€ and the wind deflector does fit into the boot but only when the top is closed. This is all descriped in the product description. It would be great if people read first before making assumptions.

Yes off course you have to unload the rack before you open the hardtop.

Hello Lauren, the product description says upto 60 km/h but the installation manual upto 40 km/h. I think they made a mistake in the description and the correct speed is 40 km/h.
