Hello Shawn For what I use it for absolutely. It is a much better shallow water boat. 14 inches trimmed off the keels. I can back up out of shallow areas a lot better with vectored thrust. A lot of storage where the diesels were. For long trips like the Great Loop, the diesels would be better mainly because of cheaper fuel at the marinas.

Yes I do About 2ft 6 inches Cut off 14 inches of keel for the conversion.

I will post some performance numbers soon. Completely different boat. 14" shallower draft Lots of storage in the engine compartments. Faster high speed cruise. Better maneuverability

did you use the same fuel tanks ? how did you clean off the diesel ?? awesome projet mate !

Yes. Same tanks. I put old petrol in the tanks and let it soak. It took several flushes. I cut 14 inches off the keels so I have less draft. It is a good shallow water boat now. Faster too. Diesel is $1 a gallon cheaper at the marinas but the fuel economy is very similar. Lots of storage where the diesels were. Mush more maneuverable now.

What is the cheapest route to go for a Mosquito or something similar and How many hrs of training and costs does ot take to be able to get behind the stick of a mosquito or similar. Since i was 12 i wanted to learn how to fly a helo and at 55 im financially able to do this now. Thanks for thie inspiring videos.

@@gyroav8r that is awesome! I am in the market for a xel. I have 50 hours in a Robbie. How does it do as far as flight time. 5 gallons for the xel. Does it take mixed gas or does it have a oil tank.
