I had the same issue, just replaced the amazon cover and gasket for an oem cover and gasket and now it starts everytime!

For anyone looking for an answer to this problem, I finally found mine. I replaced every sensor to include the wiring harness to find this problem. The FI light and everything tested normal. My clutch cover was OEM with an OEM gasket. After years of trying to figure it out my answer ended up being my OEM clutch cover was damaged. The previous owner downed the bike and the Clutch cover was damaged where the CKP sensor sits behind the cover. I bought a brand new clutch cover and had a new CKP and that fixed it. The problem is that you can not test the air gap between the sensor and the sprocket, and it's so sensitive that anything other than OEM thats undamaged is going to throw off the signal. It seems like the CKP sensor plays a vital roll in starting the engine but not to keep it running. This is why you can bump start it and start it cold sometimes. Once it's running you're good.

just got a 87 250 i know its different but did u have your return and vaccum hoses connected or just the one going directly to the carb from the petcock, came w the tank disconnected and its rusted quite a bit so i figuired id get a new one but the red and green labels mean fuel and return?

You made me look really smart today.

Dude my bike has done this since I got it, it would start perfectly cold but the minute it's warm or hot it wouldn't start. The ignition would spark and it'll turn the engine just not running. And I've only seen a few mentions on forums about this hot start issue and I'm ready to go give it a look on my bike or even replace it

My 08 600 is doing the same shit, but if i really commit to starting it, it will eventually fire. Giving it a little throttle helps sometimes, and it burps and will backfire occasionally. It has a chinese clear crank cover.

I bought a 2007 gsxr 600 a while back I had to replace the stator (oem) and replaced the rectifier. The primary injectors won't spray. My secondary injectors do, my understanding is that the 2nd injectors shouldn't spray until higher rpms. It didn't have any codes. When I bought it it had a 08 start switch on it. I just put a 07 switch on it and now I'm getting C32 C33 C34 C35 faults. No power commander, the kickstand is bypassed.
