Great video and build. This seems to be a nice kit. 👍I was in a radio platoon (1st battery of a rocket artillery bataillon) during my military service in 1986/87 and we had such a radio truck. The vehicle was called "Funkkoffer". Our truck was painted in NATO olive green. The three colour camouflage wasn't so common at that time.

Great review and build, Rick. Many thanks. It is a great kit to build. I built the earlier version and it went together very well. The ICM youtube page gives the assembly sequence which removed any doubt. A very enjoyable kit to build

I use ak netting type 1 that I paint olive drab on one side and russian green on the other. The use HO trains scale bushes for the foliage. I really don't like most live foliage products and I prefer just using thine strips of paper painted and crumpled up to look like the steps of canvas they hange.

'Rick'!!!! Thanks a Lot!! I think you know that I'm building my Leopard 2 AVLB, though I have NOT painted it in NATO colors yet...because I was buying ( and Still WAITING ) for my putty-mask to arrive. Point-being...seeing you and another fella just "free-hand" paint the camo, Not worrying about over-spray of different colors ( brown and black ) kinda makes me wonder.... "Shoot, why am I waiting for...just Paint da Darn TANK!!" Showing how you get close-in to the model also helps with the lower setting of the airbrush!!! Although, I have not painted the tank yet, I did paint the bridge portion.....but in Possible UKR color camo...there I HAD to use masks for the "digital camo" that they are using for the Bradleys ( not sure of their Leo2 and Abrams )...maybe you can give me a little hind-sight of Their camo patterns...is Ukraine keeping the NATO color...OR...their own colors?? Again, Thanks for the posting......off to do some painting!!!!
@Ricks135scalemodels
@Ricks135scalemodels 2 ай бұрын
Ha.. I lovevpainting with airbrush. It's just finding the sweat spot of right dilution and psi.. on the Ukrainian stuff. From what I've seen, they have several colors. I was told although I can not verify that if it arrived in nato camo.. it stayed that but they did get vehicles that looked like a Russian green color and I heard that some stuff arrived in desert and they're painted in the digital. I'm getting ready to do a Ukrainian leo 2 and I just finished my leo 2 avlb, iguana, that I made all the upgrades for it to be the I service version.
