Offended by the "if you're a mother" statement - the whole family suffers if either parent is not following good business practice. It is not related in any way to the complex blend of responsibility within a family. A good marriage is a totally shared lifestyle with mutual benefits and mutual respect.

The main pricing I learn in my early days in photography is to keep you price the same as other photographer in your area. To low you look cheap to high to expensive. This price Premise will always give you work. Believe me, people do shop around for price, and they will know price.

Hi there, I’m a lil confused.. question, you charge for your photo session, which then gives the client 10 images correct? Beyond that, what is the benefit to you, for a client to purchase add on’s, do you receive a portion of that revenue ? Sorry, hope I made sense, just curious about the process Tysm !

Hi Ashley I have a small space I work in for doing hair however, I’d like to add a backdrop in it to do some mini sessions because I live in Texas and I can get a little bit hot. I have some nice beautiful parks around me that I can do I guess I could promote that mini sessions in Landa Park, etc. . However, do you have any video on simple cost effective insight photos that I could set up for? I really appreciate your contact in this video. I have minimal money right now I’ve been doing photography since 2006 but I’m new to the area in the last two years. I’m also building my hair career and I’m trying to make some extra money on the side I was serving, however, it wasn’t working for me in the best manner And it’s exhausting. I used to do it 25 years ago I’m 51 today and I need to square my life way in a different direction some thing I really enjoy with art which is photography in my hair but however hair is wearing on me too after all these years and I have a passion for photography. I’ve been doing a lot of senior photos, family photos don’t want to do weddings really I’ll do engagement photos. I’ve already done weddings in the past and it’s not my cup of tea just trying to pick your brain a little bit. I can always give you my email we can talk or we can exchange numbers but I’m trying to just get around like minded people and move forward. Thanks so much and advance.

Ashley you mentioned that you play music during your sessions. What do you take on your shoot to do this?

Thank you!! I can never find good videos for kids and families. They are all on controlled models and still shots. Im photographing my toddlers and my R5 and RF lenses are not fast enough with eye tracking focus to nail the images often enough for me. I have found the same. I have to stay at about an f4 or higher to get one of both in focus. I have to crank up my shutter speed and add any blur in post. Primes are nice but zoom is way more helpful. And I use back button focus as well. ♥️♥️ I also have my camera set on H+ so when I push down it snaps multiple photos quickly. Easier to go back and delete later and find the best expression.
