I love my jetson haze, however nearly a full year of owning I’ve had issues with: the break pads & squeaking(needs a quick replacement if you ride consistently for sure), the charging box light doesn’t light up the same(not sure if it’s going to go out or what?? Kinda nervous lol) just recently the throttle handle has sprung off & by the looks of it other have had this issues & going through soldering & whatnot just isn’t up my alley. Also it is not very easy to fold up as even though I’ve been working out my arms & back good lord that is such an awkward design for a fold. At this point I’m debating if I’d rather get a regular bike because a really good long lasting ebike is well around $1k+. However this bike is great for an average rider who goes out every now and then on or off the trail. It’s a tough cookie for sure & has seen a handful of falls & still rides well. Just with the throttle being jacked up I’m sadly looking at taking er back & or selling to someone who could fix er up.

I bought this pump today and no problem pumping my shock and fork. First you weren't using the correct mode that has on the bottom and second you can put your palm against the top of the shock with your left hand preventing it from going anywhere. You don't need to grab it with your whole palm, you just need to block its movement, thus generating a pumping force. You won a dislike mate. Cheers.

Thank you for the review. I ordered it and it arrived today. Just wanted to point out that it it looks like you installed the inner and outer rack incorrectly. I made the same mistake and after looking at the cover of the manual, I realized I had put the inner rack as the outer rack and vice versa. Two quick references are 1) that the company logo is on the outer rack and should be facing out or away from the car (if you look at the footage when you're testing the rack on different cars, the company logo is facing the car), and 2) the arm of the outer rack should be over the handle when not in use. It looks like that it still does the job the way you installed it but just wanted to make you aware in case that change makes a difference with the potential clearance issue with some vehicles. Thanks again for your video and review.

While this technique seems like it is more applicable for everything, SRAM’s pressurization method is FAR more effective and necessary for getting the higher end brakes to perform properly without blowing the master cylinder!
@OtterXtra
@OtterXtra 2 ай бұрын
If the master blows out from a tiny syringe pressure, then it is already bad. Maven’s are plagued by wondering bite point. Every step of the video pulled bubbles out, 2 less steps than Sram official. I couldn’t even follow what park tool did
@Atxcmtb
@Atxcmtb 2 ай бұрын
@@OtterXtra I disagree with the issue on the Mavens. After setting up 5-10 of them, i feel that it just takes a good pressurization at the lever, and a proper negative pull to remove any air. While some of the techs i work with have blown a master cylinder on fresh brakesets, i’ve seen it happen most if you pull a vacuum too hard or try to pressurize the caliper. Regardless, it’s still important to de-gas any DOT fluid because it stores air naturally.
@OtterXtra
@OtterXtra 2 ай бұрын
@@AtxcmtbIt is all about helping people. The Maven wondering bite point has about 5 problems area's people are reporting on, the levers are introducing air to the system, I am guessing Sram's crap manufacturing. From my home mechanic experience the more expensive the brake the harder it is to bleed, MT401 takes about 10 seconds

I have wondered about something similar for Shimano brakes. The technique Park Tools says to do has dozens of steps. I don’t understand why we cannot use two syringes to push and pull the fluid. Doesn’t it seem like you can build a very pump with low power to attach to the lever and push the fluid to the caliper and out to be disposed. That way you can close the caliper bleed port with some pressure.
