38,387 points scored and only 18 threes attempted. If the three wasn’t added Kareem’s total would likely never been passed.

It's always better to just go to the games. If you cannot go to the games, then do some gardening. You won't get fat eating all the food they suggest you eat in commercials. At the end of the day, nothing really changes if you watch TV, right?

Imagine if Hakeem the Dream and Air Jordan played one on one half court !. I think Olajuwon would beat Jordan with his skills, height, body and quickness !. A center with shooting guard moves at seven foot tall !.💵🏀🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

Shows how much an advantage a big man has in these halfcourt only matchups.........but if he was playing full court, he'd be in big trouble, trying to dribble his way all the way up each time.......even in the half court, the little man has to gamble and go around him to disrupt the ball, don't let him back you down.....that will at least force him to dribble toward the hoop and you can get a steal.

Kind of pathetic and these guys were in there early to mid 40's at the time. It's like watching your dad and the neighbor's dad go at it in the driveway after a big barbeque dinner cookout. Lebron will be their age in a few years and he is still playing very well at the highest level.

The shot is incredible. Especially how it hits the back of the basket then goes up perfectly and falls straight through the basket! Not sure I have ever seen a shot like that.

Kareem far out-pointed Dr. J, but you have to admit: Dr. J did have a dominant comeback in the second half of the video. Nice to see him get a dunk in as well!

Kareem was 42 when he retired and could have honestly been still playing at 45 and still averaging 12 points per game! He still had the skyhook in this one on one

By looking at this you can tell how much the game and moves have evolved. Would have preferred seeing Doc play the Iceman or Kareem play Moses.

I saw Jordan play and for a long time I said he was the goat. I didn’t a chance to see Kareem play. But looking at all Kareem’s accomplishments he might very well be the goat. Plus he sparred with Bruce Lee.

I never saw this before, was this back in the 1980's or something? They both retired from the NBA as players in "89". I remember back in 1995 Shaq & Hakeem were supposed to do an event like this. Promotions was on Television and everything, Taco Bell did an add with the both of them (Soft & Crunchy Taco 🌮). Olajuwan backed out of event and it never happened. NBA should do a 1 Vs 1 Tournament for the Top 10 players in the league during All-Star Week. 2 Games in a day. 4 days. Game is played to 30 by 2's & 3's. Winner of the tournament gets to pick their prize, that is reasonable to NBA standards.

Height weight length strength was the big deciding factor to easy for Kareem to win with his skills .But also dr j wasn’t defending properly he is 6’6 or 6’7 supposably.maybe could have have better guarding stance and at least make him shoot over the top with hook shots. Better to lose that way that to make it to easy to shoot so close to the basket.

Respectfully, Dr. J lacked any kind of fluent ball handling whatsoever. Maybe I’m used to seeing Kyrie Irving so I’m comparing one great to another but his inability to shoot and ball handle was ultimately the difference. Kareem is great of course, but highly beat able. This was amazing to watch though, they should implement a 1v1 style tournament in the all star game and take away the dunk contest.
