I have a question and have been looking all over for info on 8n ptos and if any were manufactured with live ptos or if a conversion to a live pto would be possible and how difficult it would be. I have an 8n and my brush hog gets stuck in the weeds and the wheels have to spin with the pto so this would be very helpful.

Thanks, just needed to check on that groove in the inner socket. Was thinking it was for holding grease but thought maybe it was just a funny wear pattern. Since yours has it too, I'm going to figure it's fine, just for holding grease.

Great barn! How high are those center poles? They look like maybe 20 footers? 4 feet in the ground and 16 ft out?

That guy was just walking in the shallow water. Now I understand why this Red Tailed Hawk catches fish, which rarely ever happens except at this river. The fish have nowhere to escape. The hawk knows where they are because they'll always be seen at any distance. To be able to throw any food to a hawk and expect it to grab it is more than just impressive!

Excellent video. I've run these for 55 years and I learned something from you today. If I may say one thing, buying 50/50 antifreeze is probably the biggest waste of money that you could do. Here in canada, it's the same price as concentrate. So I guess what I'm saying is you're paying just as much for half as much:-)

Yeah, I can understand that. Our water comes from a well and has lots of minerals in it that can cause cooling system issues. This is why I use a premix.

Just bought a Ferguson 35 1962 and can’t wait to do this. After watching you do it… I feel like somebody needs a mic drop. That’s how it’s done boys and girls. Any of the old Bush hogs work better than others or anything that’s still alive today from the 70s and 80s is probably pretty damn good? Need to go out and buy one and not sure what direction to take.

I drilled and tapped my fill plug and added a zerk fitting, then used a air powered aro grease pump and pressure filled the steering box steering box in my '77 Ford 1600 that was leaking out of the shaft seal because the bushing was worn from carrying heavy loads with my loader and trying to steer with mystic g6 industrial waterproof grease that is so slick it's beyond slick, to the point it came out of the top of the steering shaft under the steering wheel, now id say that's pretty full! It's still a little hard to steer but always has been and takes a lot of force and about all you got when you have 1000lbs or more on the loader. But it doesn't leak and id say that packed full it's probably not shoving anything off. And it has a consistency of just a hare more thickness of the corn head and super super tacky. Made for excavators and heavy equipment joints to keep out moisture and stay connected to joints. It's synthetic, and a bit expensive, a 5 gallon bucket for my aro pump was $280 but it will last and I have a lot of equipment.

I’m debating whether to pick up a nine that is older but in great shape. It comes with five or six attachments for the PPO, which makes it interesting for me. You guys still recommend the nine for typical yardwork.
