I know this video came out 10 months ago but you're 100% right. Matter fact, the last 2 months, the 3 rappers/hip hop artists with huge double digit music video/song views on KZfaq are K-Dot and Drake (and that's due to the diss drama) and Eminem. I noticed after K-Dot finished obliterating Drake, every rapper putting out songs/videos in the last 2 months have extremely low views. I thought with Drake out the way the last 2 months, there would be an increase on other artists getting an increase in streams/views, but I have yet to see it, outside of Kendrick.

look bro, Hip hop is a culture having someone write your lyrics for you as an emcee is taboo in Hip Hop, in any other genre its fine. But in Hip Hop you can't be a lyrical goat if someone writes them for you, its equivalent to to 2 rappers competing in a rap battle and ghost writers writing the disses for them, it takes away from the sport of lyricism. Now is Drake iconic sure, same as Eazy E they didn't write their lyrics both iconic but can't ever be in terms of Hip Hop in the level that emcee like Nas, Kendrick are at because they actually do the penmanship. It like Michael Jordan having a ghost basket player

Yo im so curious, why do mfs really be going out of their way to be his defense. What's really in it to glaze that man constantly, what is the legitimate reason exactly?Like, does he pay certain people off? Is it because of nostalgia? The numbers? His wave riding, trend hopping longevity? The amount of hits? What is it THE BRAIDS?! Was P Drizzy's music there for you in intimate moments in your life? What really is it?

That's not the issue. The issue is calling himself the GOAT rapper while using ghost writers in raps such as Mob Ties and it seems Back to Back too. Also not being straight up about using writers like Kanye, Dr. Dre and others. They don't put up a front.

I'm glad you did this video. However, Hip Hop is not dead. Let's be crystal, Hip Hop is a 4-5 element culture. Rap is only one of those elements, the art of MC'ing may have declined but the culture is still alive, it has moved to other hands in other countries. Rappers didn't kill Rap music, corporations did it by separating one element from the others because they could market rap. How do you market graffiti writing, b-boying, djing or the fifth element of knowledge of self? To keep it short, rap started to take a downward turn when hustlers began to step on the scene. Their mic doesn't sound too nice, they stick to the script and do what sales because if it don't make dollars then … The art and culture of it was pushed aside to make money. When those artist and fans who were true to it stepped to these "hustlers," there was pushback as they said there's enough MONEY out here for everybody or why is the old school hating on us and mad because we're doing us, or ya'll had your time it's ours now. The newer rappers couldn't see the big picture for being blinded by money, over-priced clothes, all too willing women, etc. Ownership of the culture was given away and sold long ago. This is not a sole attack on the youth because some of your favorite old heads began the downward spiral.
