If yours will lift but not release, chances are the clutch friction disk are stuck to their mating plate. Sometimes a hard taping will loosen. If not take apart the clutch and put back.

I'm wondering if too fine a grind would affect my coffee machine. I cleaned it with vinegar because water wasn't coming out, after a cleaning, the machine worked, but the next day it didn't work again so I cleaned it with baking soda. If it pushes the water out, why then, am I experiencing this issue?

I've been drinking coffee for over 40 years, never knew how the maker worked until now. I see you made this 15 years ago. You're most likely working for NASA now. Keep up the good work!

Ah, I love this kind of stuff. Started just trying to figure out how to refill the pool I accidentally drained a little too much at a house I work at, and now I'm learning the engineering of the problem before I just jump in do what the manuals tell me to do. Thanks mate!

Thanks this is awesome! The new Dewalt brushless compact series has some amazing thrust bearings, when you go to release the grip on the bit there's basically zero resistance, even if it's tight af.

i have a chain hoist patented 1878 that tell s me a little bout its age BUT ONLY because developements were so fast ,change meant they quit making early hoists...IT MUST BE a worm gear hoist BC it will not coast but a worm gear must be rolled backwards to lower it.....an early, simple braking mechanism.....am I right..just guessing

The ratchet keeps the load from backdragging the hand wheel, OK. When you go into the lowering direction what keeps it from dropping the load? I know there are friction plates in there but how do they work?
