I'm from northern Minnesota. My Mom was an RN in Keams Canyon in '86. Loved living in Hopiland. I loved watching the kachinas dance in middle village. My favorite were Velvet Shirt Kachinas. I miss Hopiland.

That was profound. As a Christian, I initially believed my God was against everything, but now I realize that your God, our God, is the God. The energy and spirit of the people participating drew me here, and it's incredible. Before finding this video, I could feel your presence. Speaking about the tragic genocide our brother nations endured for the American story on my livestream, your spirit provided clarity. In that moment, I found the words without stuttering, and my thoughts seamlessly connected with what I was hearing. It's unbelievable! A three-year-old video somehow changed for me, and it felt like those in attendance here were aware of it. The spirit, the energy, the collective feeling grew stronger in me and in the crowd. Impossible! It's impossible to say that a video could somehow change, or that they knew they were communicating with someone in the future, knew me, and meant to speak to me. But our understanding is limited, and the God who created us in His image has made the impossible possible. I write this to ensure your generation doesn't forget the realness of these experiences, known by our ancestors. They knew the truth all along."

I'm just saying,When I was younger, we were told not to film or record out of respect for tradition and that the spirituality in it is suppose to stay in the arena where it's held.i to am part hopi.

Alot ov work goes into preparation for this dance. The men and women have to fast but the payoff is that they're not doing it for just us Hopis but the entire world. One ov my nieces/daughters took part in this a dance group like this so these always reminds ov her. Be happy and treat each other well.
