Thanks so much for posting this. I was there front and center. Got there at noon and waited around for about 5 hours lol...they did about 7 songs in total which was cool since they played the night before which I was also at. So I got to see them twice in 2 days. Good times!

Thank you so much for posting this. I have not seen this performance in many years. They were really great during the Generation Swine era. I'm hoping Motley Crue or David Letterman will release the whole pro shot video of this show some day. They did at least a couple of other songs. Tommy's drum kit is so unique and we can finally here Nikki's bass guitar.

The GNR record The Spaghetti Incident came about from that contest between Nikki and Tommy. One of the girls blew chunks because of the smell from Nikki and obviously she had eaten Spaghetti

The audacity for a man in a glam metal band to try and scoff at another genre for being more about "fashion"... Is hilariously ironic. And then to get mad when they ask about subjects that literally sum up the entire bands musical career... No wonder this album tanked..

The bands from the glam metal era of the 80s and early 90s still tour and make a living. Those grunge bands? Aside from Pearl Jam, they're all gone - and thank fucking god. The grunge era was boring and depressing....

@@MotleyLand literally what did any of that have to do with my comment. I get it, you're a Crue Stan. Mediocre bass player, terrible lead singer, great guitar player, mediocre drummer. And above all else, mediocre songs.

@@MotleyLandDisagree. There's nothing wrong with dark music. I think it's good to balance out the fun and the dark to get different perspectives. I mean I'd take Soundgarden over Winger. I'll listen to Mudhoney and Crue on the same day.

If MTV didn’t play your videos back, then, you were nobody. Nikki’s arrogance brought down the band. He didn’t know how to lead them. They were only Motley Crue as the original 4.

I agree with your 1st statement, no Mtv = not much chance...however, Motley Crue is 100% Nikki Sixx's band & vision from the beginning. And from what I've read, this is the last album that is 100% Mick....no idea if that's totally accurate.

@@kodyepidemic they kind of had to play Bitter Pill as it was the single at the time and they were promoting the Greatest Hit$ album. For the 2nd song, I think Nikki has always viewed Wild Side as one of their more cutting edge songs...and WWF (at that time) was all about pushing the envelope. I'm not sure how Shout would have fit with that crowd either as there were a lot of younger kids. But who knows, LOL.....
@kodyepidemic
@kodyepidemic 13 күн бұрын
@@MotleyLand they have a lot of hits to choose from so it’s hard to narrow it down to one song since the first one has to promote the album. To me, Kickstart is their biggest hit so from a crowd reception point of view, I would’ve went with that. If they wanted to push the envelope, they could’ve played Smokin in the Boys Room or Girls Girls Girls.
