Born and raised I have lived here my entire life. Stan Donuts I don’t know who decided this is a tourist trap but that’s what it is. Chicagoans don’t eat Stan’s donuts. Do Rite is one of the best donuts we’ve ever had definitely rated top notch!

The best food in NOLA is never from the French quarter or the tourist attraction areas... it's first, out of a local home, second the corner stores and third neighborhood restaurants. The way we cook in our homes is not the same as most restaurants... they cater to tourists. But, locals know the difference... for instance, that stuff they serve in restaurants as gumbo, is literally gravy and rice! Try that and then try gumbo out of a true new orleanian's house... you'll never be the same 😂

Chicago native here. Love the video. We have so much good food. One thing I noticed is that aloha wagon is not near midway. Its on the pinkline at western and midway is the orange line end of line. If you come back I recommend going to ricobennes and getting the chicken parm sandwich. Atardecer Acapulqueño has really good mexican breakfast. My family has been taking me there since I was born. Mannys is a great deli in the south loop area. They have wonderful rubens and potato pancake. You can also not go wrong with harolds chicken. Its a classic. Garrets is great. Every Christmas my dad would bring home a bucket of the mix. Chiu Quon Bakery is a so cheep and so good. It is a chinese bakery that is cash only. My girlfriend and I will go in with 10 dollars cash and come out with the perfect amount of food for a picnic. Its one of our go to cheep date nights. We take the buns and walk to ping tom park. I am glad you enjoyed the city. I love this place so much. A big part of my heart lives here and will continue even if I leave.

You can have fun for free or little money, many of us didnt grow up with much, but our parents made our childhood wonderful. You can have picnics in the chicago parks, visit the museums and zoo, ride bicycles too. But a little money helps. Shame there are no outdoor theaters anymore . 6:12 + play sports in the parks , fly a kite , a drone , badminton etc. Take your dog. Go fishing , oh the Art Institute is for free , admission is advisable , suggested

I like spirit.no issues. Flew southwest many times and one time one of their wheelchair pushers jumped all over me. I'm blind,use a cane and also have MS so clumsy. I should be in wheelchair. I don't know what he thought I was doing or not doing but yelling at me about getting wheelchair people on 1st. You know your granny walks better than me. Anyhow we get to our seats still stunned. Then this SW employee walks up and hands us each a 300.00 voucher. We said thank you. We didn't say anything to anyone, didn't confront the man, just going to let it slide because I figure he was having a bad day.
