I would never tell someone what their limits are and I would also say that riding a bike is something most people could do if you are serious and safe about it. Some people feel better starting out on a 250 or 400 and it’s. It long before they master them and want something bigger. I think that this bike is very well rounded in not only power but is also Well balanced and has an excellent siting position for good control. This is my son learning to ride this bike and it is his bike now and he rides it very well. I hope you have much success with yours. Remember maintenance is first for safely riding any bike

Is the full exhaust with stock slip on that much louder in real life? I wanted a full system but didn’t want it obnoxiously loud. I just like the deep sound of the exhaust.

It is the Akra header no cat no muffler just the open tip that has no baffles in it, if I put the factory muffler back on it is still pretty loud but people can ride next to me at high rpm’s. I ride with just the tip and it is obnoxious but, too many people I know have be hit by cars, some have died - so fuck it. You definitely hear me coming from a mile behind you. If I rev bomb - it will make ur eyes shake

Take the cables out of the exhaust servo for sound improvement otherwise you won’t notice a difference then the can can help. Obviously cat out would make a hell of a difference but that complicates things

Can this cause any damage to the engine/headers
@texasmotorrad8680
@texasmotorrad8680 Жыл бұрын
I can affect the back pressure as this is more like an open pipe but just barely- think of a gasser race car. Some of the little mufflers on the market cannot possibly affect the back pressure very much at all and surely not as much as taking off the catalytic converter to run the open headers. So what’s an additional 6 inches of open header?

Rear brake first always then blend. You got any riding videos
@marcusesser3889
@marcusesser3889 Жыл бұрын
@@texasmotorrad8680 rear brake first means you are loading up the rear of the bike whereas the front brake as you mention in the video is the main speed scrubber. But by applying the rear brake first then front suspension extends and you’re taking mass off the front tyre and losing stopping power. Front on first and mass over the front tyre then add the rear brake for control. Progressive braking is the name of the game otherwise as you rightly say, too much front will dump the rider as the front tyre gets overloaded and loses grip. However at slow speeds anywhere 10mph and below the rear brake alone is usually enough to smoothly stop the bike. In general I go for Front>rear>ease off front and finish on the rear just before stop.

@@marcusesser3889 again we are speaking of new riders and to them high speed might be 60mph and less. Not GP speeds where the physics obviously are different - I stand by my statements, I’m training a thought process of not panicking and jamming on the front brakes like many new riders do. You should post your motorcycle training videos so people can and would follow your instructions - not sure about the two videos you did post since you have such strong opinions about my videos… if that’s you in the your posted video then you are lane splitting into on coming traffic “that’s safe”? Do you teach that? Tough being watched under a critical eye isn’t it?

@marcusesser3889
@marcusesser3889 Жыл бұрын
@@texasmotorrad8680 I am actually lol. I’m a motorcycle instructor (: Coasting and then feeding the clutch would imply that the entry speed into the turn was too great therefore pulling the clutch and coasting is what most riders resort to. What instead should be the process for a turn is to slow down on approach, gear down appropriately and then slip the clutch through the turn giving you maximum slow speed control.
@texasmotorrad8680
@texasmotorrad8680 Жыл бұрын
@@marcusesser3889 your implication is a forgone conclusion that the speed is too great and your considering only that - I’m speaking of training an unsure rider at low speeds and the lesson is to balance your clutch as much as the throttle (just like braking) as too many new riders get into trouble because of not thinking to disengage the engine as option to maintain control and sometimes whiskey throttle themselves out of riding ever again. It’s a tool to use as with many others in riding - but at low speeds I’ve done it all my life. This video was posted for my son to refer to as he learned and many others started responding to it in a positive way and few troll challenge it with their negative crap so I leave it up.

I went rode with my friend on dirt bike on a rough terrain and it was my first time ever riding a bike. He said I could handle the Z900... Also, can the bike just go slow without you ever hitting the throttle → only letting go the clutch slowly? Or do you have to hit the throttle while letting the clutch go slowly? I feel like I might over power the bike if I give it too much power even if let go of the clutch slowly
@texasmotorrad8680
@texasmotorrad8680 Жыл бұрын
You could over power almost any bike by throttling up and letting the clutch out too fast. The difference is a powerful bike will take off and a weak bike would kill the engine. My advice is to focus on controlling the clutch more than the throttle - think of it as a safety switch, if you feel that you are not in control or losing control then grab the clutch and pull it in to disengage the engine and this will give you more time to figure out what you might need to do next, like get off the throttle or apply the brake or both. This is a learning curve that one you master it will be a natural reflex. Hope this helps.
@Nightfury.r7
@Nightfury.r7 8 ай бұрын
Yes, you can get the bike to move without giving it any throttle. If you slowly let out the clutch in 1st gear, the bike wil engage with the gear and slowly start traveling at like 5 MPH.
