Pe de Pano regularly beat Roger. If you noticed Roger liked to do the closed guard while Pe de Pano had the knee cut. Notice which way he fell and the direction Buchecha took.

@@bjjtapes I've been on a real kick for watching Roger's videos lately. I have John Danaher's Closed Guard Instructional and I've been making tons of connections with John's teachings and Roger's ability to implement the techniques in a live competitive setting. It's amazing how effective it all is. I'd very much like to see more of his videos as he developed into the air tight practitioner he is today.

Essas duas contra o Jacaré ele "perdeu", na real ganhou porém foi prejudicado pela arbitragem. Contra o Xande ele ganhou na estratégia, em momento algum trocou jiu-jitsu com o Roger

Well,I know their faces lol,In that historic match, pé de pano won,Roger Gracie lost ,we’re in 2020 now so that was 17 years ago ....that was Roger Gracie’s first year as a black belt....after that he went on to win 10 world titles....

Marcelo for a brief time was a student of Terere before he went to Fabio Gurgel. Marcelo was an instructor at Terere and Leo Vieira! Training with Terere and Leo every day! Damn right he was going to become a Legend. However, Terere was one of the most spectacular Jiu-Jitsu players of the 2000's Terere was ranked as one of the top ten players of his era! And he knew Marcelo's game from rolling with him at his academy. Beating Marcelo twice in a row was no fluke, that's Fernando "Terere" Augusto De Silva! A legend among legends!

@@t-bone7988 People experiment and some can handle it and some can't! Terere lost that battle! Terere was supposed to give Andre Galvao his black belt but was not available so Andre was given permission to have his first teacher give him the belt, however, Galvao is a Fernando Terere student him and Ruben Charles Maciel a 5 time BJJ World Champion. Maciel received his black belt from Terere!

Jacaré eh visivel que na época, usava algum "remedinho" pra dar esse gás infinito nas suas lutas.. Na luta em quem fez com o Verdum, o cara terminou a luta parecendo que tinha feito apenas um aquecimento. E tem gente que acredita que o cara era um super herói.

Nessa época aí ele já morava na academia desde 1995 só vivia para treinar de manhã ,tarde e a noite até 2003 já tinha acumulativo de 8 anos de treino ele tinha gás mesmo .

thing is a lot of people talk like who is this terere ...basically he is one of the best jiu jitsu greats that ever graced the planet..the guy was natural, fast and proper hard core jiu jitsu...he even had roger in a very bad spot when he nearly took rogers back properly.

Just read the biography of Fernando Augusto and so unfortunate that his BJJ career was abruptly cut short by schizophrenia. Hopefully he is managing and coping with it and living a happy life. As for Marcelo Garcia, it is inspiring to see that our heroes did not always have it easy but they just put their losses behind them and kept moving forward.
