I will never understand why people would put that amount of stress and strain through a very expensive vehicle's drivetrain and chassey components. These tug of war competitions proves absolutely nothing. But then again, I suppose a bunch of guys with small dicks probably have no other or better ways to entertain themselves.

This all comes down to physics. It's more to do with the number of diff locks engaged and torque gearing, traction (tire size and pressure), weight and current velocity. And Less to do with car model or engine. Therefor you can design a car that will beat any other in this competition by ensuring it has dual difflocks, having large tyres with bead lockers and very low presssure, and is in low 4x4 gearing and has sandbags packed in the back for added weight.
