I'm watching this from Kosovo, and im absolutely fascionated by English non league football system, all this voulnetary work for community is just pure passion for the game, seems more fun than top leagues. I myself am terrible at football, but at least i always suppory my local team, cuz it's not about winning but it's about loving and enjoying Football. Tank you England for the Football.

Im american. But i have friends from england who have played non-league football. As a player myself and a fan of the game, i’ve been interested in non-league football thanks to them. One thing non-league football has that the bigger leagues have lost is the genuine love of the game. No glamour. No overpaid players with entourages. Pure passion for football. -from northern California 🇺🇸

I miss the smell of the grass, the queue at the clubhouse bar, the 50 mile round trip for a randm county cup game that my team isn't involved in. Season ticket holder at my home team and regular groundhopper elsewhere. Love the game to bits.

Many years ago, amateur football was about turning up, having a kick around for 90 minutes and then going off down the pub for a few pints with the lads. Win, loose or draw, repeat the same thing next week. Nowadays, it's a completely different game. There's a white board full of tactics in the changing room, a manager who talks about formations, systems and player instructions, diet sheets, intense training sessions etc... it's no different to a premiere league club preparing for a league game.
@suiicc78752 жыл бұрын
Non-league football is not classed as amateur football, it’s more so classed as Semi-pro, amateur would be more like Sunday league where what you said is still the case.

Great film about the most essential aspect of town and village community sport in the world. Without local football communities would be far worse off. I was a terrible player , fucking useless, but as the only one daft enough to play in goal for my local pub side I always got a game. The huge amount of memories and friends from all the hammerings we received are priceless. Friendsforeveron my side and opposition players. My local club is Whitchurch Alport in Shropshire. A fantastic community club who do things the right way. Win , lose or draw they treat the officials and opposing team and supporters with friendship and respect, how it should be. Watching the premier league is fine but soulless. Let's hope and pray after the pandemic is over all clubs survive in one form or another. Good luck to Wormley and teams in your area, all the best, Cuzz, Whitchurch, Shropshire.
