I'll try this in moderation, it's probably a bit much for my palate. I enjoy your dietary tips as much as the beer reviews....as my doctor just said, "portion control". Literally just came back from a Produce Place store minutes from my home, and they had several 12 ounce bottles of this for .99 cents each, I bought 2. Probably too much for my lightweight palate, but this gives me a chance to try an IPA which I'm a novice. I may drink half and recap it given the alcohol content!

They had a 12 pack of bottle sampler that had the Wicked Ale, Strawberry Blonde, and I’m blanking on the 3rd…. But they were ALL good. I was in the service at that time, and I was picking up that 12pk for $5 on base! Great stuff as always! Take care!

Pretty solid IPA …. Didn’t know about IBU change. Never heard of this brewer but former employer transferred me fM north NJ to suburban Atlanta in 2008 .. started see it almost everywhere along with Sweetwater (even more so) and now defunct Red Brick /later renamed Atlanta Beer Conpany (a little less so) … but in those earlier craft days .. those were the 3 big craft brands around north GA at the time.

Terrapin recently got sold to the same conglomerate that owns SweetWater Brewing. I can't think of the owner, but they are snatching up the mature craft breweries. Great Review.

A good healthy type of Beer.

American Vermouth is one of those strange situations where the definition has "tastes and smells like Vermouth". Controversially America allows Vermouth to not include wormwood despite being the namesake herb of the beverage. In Europe wormwood is required.

This is a very common beer in my area. I'm looking forward to Terrapin's Oktoberfest, I feel like it's a step above the rest in that style.

I'm doing some clean living this weekend, Hanks Root Beer for me last night, it comes in a glass bottle, made with cane sugar, and is certified Kosher, can't beat it! Claude's Busch Peach is better than I expected, the peach flavor isn't over the top and it's a refreshing beer, so you probably COULD live with a 30pk, but I understand not wanting to take the gamble. There's so many beers I want to try that don't come in singles, it's tragic.

$6.49 for a 4pack at my local Total Wine, I have picked it up many times.

For a strong lager this one is stellar. So from what I can gather, the regulation was changed back to a state by state basis. So in TN anything 10% and below is just beer. 10.1%+ is high gravity beer. 2 different tax brackets but, nothing in the law says it has to be called lager, ale, malt liquor, etc. So you can have a super brew at any abv and it can be called beer but, depending on the abv it'll fall into one of those tax brackets. So that can be beer here. Steel Reserve 8.1% can be called beer here so. TN really laxed their alcohol laws in recent years.

Hi Ron! I hope you get a chance to try the Monastére Blond that I've found recently imported to the Mid-Atlantic region of the US. It comes at $6 for a 750 ml bottle, which is a great deal for a Belgian style import. The reviews I've seen in the EU have scoffed at the price, but I think you'd enjoy it. It matches, if not rivals, the Trader Joe's Belgian style offerings in the past.

I didnt even know the New Belgium Voodoo Ranger line was doing "hard tea" and there's so many others doing it now these days so its hard to keep track.

This is the granddaddy of tripels. The first and still one of the best.

I like the Hard Charged Lemon verson. The Peach is my favorite and the tase anit no joke at all. Do your thing playa.

It may be of interest: I contacted New Belgium about these awhile back for nutritional info. 36 mg of caffeine, 29 carbs of sucrose and 260 calories per 12 oz. The best part: NOT gluten free, everything has to have a "smooth mouthfeel" today. It's telling these types of drinks aren't forthcoming on the packaging.

I think Miller lite sucks - you can taste the corn it tastes like steamed veggies - terrible, terrible beer

El Toro was my dad's favorite. Whenever he would make a Margaritas for he and my mother, he would pick up a bottle with the little sombrero. We're talking 1960s here. Spending a decade or so on the southern border my tastes passed it by, but I still keep a bottle around for the memories. Thanks for the vid, always love listening to you.
