They truly messed the sound up over the years. The audio in the first 3 years of Siege was perfect. I have no idea why they tried to change it. It needs to go back to how it was then. Not hearing people walking next to you is ridiculous in a game like this

Thank you for this great video. It has helped me a lot. I have now published a 360° video with Ambisonics on YT myself. The problem: When I rotate the 360 video, the sound does not rotate with it. This problem occurs on my Windows PC, my iPhone and my Android mobile phone. But it works perfectly on my Android tablet. Do you have any idea what the problem could be?

"Surround Sound, Up and Running"(Ch. 2 pp 60) says the LFE should be 4db louder than a main channel if using a SPL meter due to the phenomenon of in-band gain. The LFE will only read 10db louder if you put a low pass filter on the main channel to match the frequency output of a properly filtered LFE.(EQ set at 110hz with 24db/8va slope)

ambisonics is psychoacoustic. How can a sound wave coming from 4 speakers be perceived as coming from a single point? With four speakers, the brain receives 8 versions of the signal. My brain decodes this as diffuse mono. As I move about the space, the time and phase differences remain frozen in the space. No two people will hear the same thing, so how can a signal be 'produced' that works in all spaces for all locations. The same goes for the microphone of the same name. Be well, and listen carefully.
