what if it's a cosplay with parts with glitter that can't be removed? Can you still wash it by hand without ruining that part? I taken the Scaramouche cosplay that I wanted so much (if you want, go and see so you can understand better) and I'm afraid of ruining the glittery part on the sides, not so much for the one around the neck which can be removed.

5:37 please DO NOT use compressed air on your sewing machine, it pushes the gunk deeper in the machine and can cause problems in the future that you wont be able to solve yourself

I watched tutorial after tutorial, working on my first armor piece and i hate it so much 😢 a cannot help that its a waste of money cause im too stupid to work with it. it melts too much, whenni want to Stock Details on the cups for example the cups loose their Form, everything bubbles up. i have no idea what im doing wrong

I am a retired Canadian Soldier and I was initially drawn in to the series by the opening sequence and then I was hooked, this show was the first one in a long time that made me cry. Yes I said it I love a good story that can make you cry every once in a while.

Thanks to you when i cosplayed Bijou from Hamtaro at Otakon in July last year i use your tip and held a Hamtaro plush around since she is a hamster so i got to pick a outfit for her. Since she is a hamster who is known for having feelings for Hamtaro you tips helped a lot to get all together 8 people to know the show and don't remember how many of them known my character by name just remember 3 or 4 did at least

To the number 4 thing I have an experience with some thing like that. I went to a Convention once but it was based somewhere where people who just normally live there go. It wasn't something like Fan Expo which the whole area was just people for that con. I lived right next to the Convention I went to and it was pretty big so I went. There was this building for the convention so that was all cosplayers but beside it was places with a bunch of shops and places where with out the con its still pretty packed. I was trying to get over to the pool and same was a bunch of other people, and there were some people who weren't even apart of the con since going from the con to the pool you would need to go from the con building, through the shop area, down a path, and theres the pool area. Around 10-15 people were having to wait on this path since there was this person taking pictures and this path was pretty small so nobody could walk past and I even asked if they could quickly let us get pass but they just continued taking pictures. Also there was only one path to the pool area. I think you can get to the pool another way but you have to go to the other side of this area so I wasn't having it, and so was the people apart and not apart of the con. The reason why i'm saying this is because even if you're at a con it doesn't just give you permission to block paths to take pictures. Especially when you're not in the "Con building". In the Con building thats just for people of the con so its a bit more understandable but still not okay. If you're blocking people from getting places to get pictures its so annoying and rude. These people who didn't come from the con wasn't expecting to be blocked by a cosplayer who couldn't step to the side for a minute to let the people pass. We all just ended up waiting which shouldn't have had happened. (This person was here for awhile taking pictures.)

I started entering cosplay contests in 2019. I entered as a novice but it felt weird being a novice since I've been sewing since 2000. I only had a chance to enter one big-ish contest and a handful of small cons. Then covid happened. Last month I entered a big-ish competition again as a master level. I didn't know there were set numbers of how many times you were supposed to place before moving up, I just felt like I should move up categories based on my sewing level. I ended up winning best in show!

Absolutely yes to the tip about picking a costume you like, not the character you like. My last big build was from an image I found on pinterest. A year later I still absolutely loved it so I knew I had to make it. Turns out it was from a video game I had never heard of. Last month I won best in show at the biggest con in our state with that cosplay!

This video was very helpful for me. I remember watching it a while ago so I wanted to revisit it because I'm about to cosplay a character that's not popular in the US, Lupin III. I resently cosplayed as Ranboo, which was my first time cosplaying at a con, and got a lot of attention because he's a popular character. Switching to Lupin will be interesting but I will feel a lot less crowded by people wanting photos and I'll be cosplaying a character I love so I'm very excited!! The con also just grew as well!! So I'm very excited to cosplay the phantom theif himself!! Even if no one recognizes my cosplay I'll still have fun with my friends.

Hi I've been trying to recruit soul eater cosplayers for 4 years here in 🇳🇱Holland , even trying to go abroad ... There is just still no way to properly start one ! T_T anyone here or an advice ? I usually go to halloween as Michael Myers. I have this Jumpsuit I bought at a thrift store and a really nice quality mask with a nice quality LARP kitchen knife. I get people taking pictures of me a lot, some want to pose with me and stuff. My favorite is when this little kid going as jason wanted to do a fight pose with me and I obliged. In this case, I imagine the... uh... pretending to swing pose is acceptable. XD Don't want to for realzies sock the 10 year in the nose or something. XD Last year, I took a cartoon character mask and my red hoodie along with my LARP knife, see, I had lost my Myers jumpsuit so I last minute threw together this costume. It was dreadful and terrible... but my acting... I would hunch down like I'm sneaking up on people, almost tribal-esque movements. Other times, I would stare at people, cock my head to the side and run my fingers down the length of the larp blade and nod enthusiastically. One little girl was crossing the street to my house, she looked at me saying "I'm not scared of you." Then I did the head cock with my fingers on the blade and nod... "Ok. I'm scared of you!" She moved on the other side of her father who proceeded to laugh his ass off! Fantastic times. <3 I love Halloween and I imagine I'm going to love cosplaying just as much. <3

I started cosplaying around a year ago and at the beginning (and still a bit now) I was soooo embarrassed to talk about what I was doing. I still get embarrassed talking about going to cons even when I go with my cosplaying group. One thing that I wish I could tell myself was not to listen when they said I was trying too hard. My first homage cosplay was Himiko Toga’s villain gear and I was super proud of it, but at the con I heard a few of my friends talking about how I was trying too hard and how I sped a lot of money (I did not it was all bottles of shampoo from the dollar store) on it. Do I wish I would have been more confident and not have cared what they said.
