I stumbled across NOL while reviewing non-profit funding applications at Starbucks one afternoon. "Whatever You Want" spooled up in the Muzak and broke my concentration. "Wow, that's catchy - I wonder who that is?!" I fired up Shazam to ID the tune, bought "A Way Forward" and listened to it for a month straight. I took a roady to Lawrence, KS to see them and heard tunes that I didn't recognize. (Get this - I thought NOL was the headliner! IMO, that's where they belong!) The songs were from their latest release, "Strange Disciple" (which I'd purchased but forgot to listen to!) and the '20 release, "Introduction, Presence". This music blows me away! I'm 69 years old and never really listened to Synth-Pop (or however you categorize this music) beyond Modern English. The combination of Ian's passionate lyrical hooks, Aiden's keyboards and synth rhythms and Alex's bottom end bass drive is outstanding. My listening binge continues 3-months after my first exposure. Hope to chase down another live show in the future. Love this band!

I used to literally bawl my eyes out to the album version of song in the car everyday on the way to and from work because my girlfriend at the time treated my really badly. This version of this song is awesome. Doesnt make me cry
