you may have figured this out but I believe you have the red holders mounted backwards.... if you turn them around then only the rubber will touch the side of your bowl. but you will need to rip 4 pieces of wood to carpet tape between each set of red holders for the bowl to sit against and they only need to be as tall as the lip which is the base of the holder. Maybe worth a try

I am waiting for UPS to deliver my PwnCNC 80mm watercooled spindle today. It's good to hear about their customer service. I have a Sienci Longmill MK2.5 48x30 and get similar service from them. It's rare today, but much appreciated.

If you had a woodworker old version would you say the upgrade of the machine to the elite foreman is more important or the spindle upgrade?

I was having the USB drive not found problem as well. It would occur at odd times. Once at at system startup. Once I bumped the Masso. Once in the middle of a cut. What has worked for me is 1. Putting a USB extension cable into the USB port 2. Using a SanDisk USB stick. The extension cable is to prevent wearing out the USB Port.

That adapter that you bought is a network to USB adpter, when you connect a computer you can use it with an IP address and access any wired network, That laser uses a computer directly attached to receive printer commands. You first use a small computer on the side connected via USB to be able to send printing commands. later you can install a small computer like a rpi to send commands and access the Pi trough the network via the network switch and remote desktop connections. When you have a direct Ethernet cable you could use a pasive USB to RJ45 adapter, this is pasive connection and the other end needs the other pasive adapter, is like extending the cable to the computer that you are going to use and it is still a USB connection and you will connect it to a computer via the USB pasive adapter.

My extender board died. Intermittently. Gave them the version and MASSO asked OF to send replacement. While I have it installed, by that time I had the drive plugged directly into the PLC, and don’t need to move it because of the WiFi push.

I’m waiting for my elite foreman to come in with the pwn 2.2kw water cooled spindle. What if you lowered the dust boot flange without the brushes to the bottom of the collet nut level and printed an angled nozzle adapter towards the bit but no lower than the collet nut?

Mount the dust boot to the fixed slots behind the router. The router then moves up and down inside the dust boot. The boot stays level with the top of the workpiece.

You would have to add up all the wattage of your router or your spindle plus the computer wattage to see if it would meet the minimum requirement. My guess would be the small model that I show in the video would not power it for very long now of course, you can buy a much larger model, let your pocketbook be your guide

Would you use this to power the onefinity as well? Will (Will Prowse) has great reviews for such items at times. I was contemplating on the usb issue you mentioned and thought that a lifepo4 battery backup and an associated inverter will solve the problem. Preferably a hybrid inverter. But all these are expensive solutions and moves in the direction of solar. If thinking of getting solar, that works. I still haven’t seen folks use 220v output inverter with a good native 110v ac input, solar, battery set up. That should technically solve the issue of running 220v equipment. Modern inverters have two inputs and can look for two outputs. With some help from a knowledgeable electrician, can set up one output to be 110ac and the the other be 220v. Or can simply get two separate inverters. Once again cost being the issue. In Asia we usually get 220v, three phase in residential upon request, so don’t have problems running equipment.

I don’t have a Onefinity (still using my customized 2015 Shapeoko 3!) but I’ve used several of their SuckIt dust boots over the past 8 years and can confirm that Jenn and Mark Chepurny have incredible customer support and work ethic, including Sunday emails! I also have had several PwnCNC boots and products and have had great interactions with Daniel Moran too (no relation!). Both are great companies with great people behind them.

I expected something completely different coming here… my issue so far is that it’s very difficult to plug in the usb stick, requires a lot of force, was almost afraid i’d break the usb port. And once i’ve plugged it in, oh boy, it required a whole lot more force to pull it out. And that’s with the usb stick they give you. I will buy one of those sticks that don’t have a casing, hopefully that will plug/unplug easier

I've performed support for my customers in the middle of the night when they were in different time zones. Why? Because I designed and built the systems, and my reputation means more to me than money or my convenience. Even when it comes to third party components, I selected those items for inclusion in my systems, know how they are integrated and configured, and know best how to resolve any issues. I've never been one to direct customers to a third party for support. Once I included a third party component, I assumed responsibility to support it. While my approach may not be good business in the modern world, it's how business was always conducted by men of good reputation in my neck of the woods.

All computers and digital control equipment should always be supplied with filtered power through a UPS. In cases where the power draw for a device (i.e., a laser printer, router, etc.) is too great for the UPS to maintain operation during a power outage, the device should be plugged into one of the filtered line outputs instead.

I work on aviation elecronics. While I don't expect the same standards, there are lots of good guidelines when designing boards for EMI. My thinking is that Masso is used to having customers with clean power. Selling to a consumer market should not be a suprise that power isn't clean and EMI is an issue. Seems to me that the consumer space robustness issues should have been taken into account and a board spins made to account for them. Just because it's industrial grade doesn't mean it can work in the home.
