The fact that it is disassembled and reassembled, and still handles the g forces he puts it through blows my mind... incredible pilot. I remember to this day watching his dad do the first inverted flat spin i ever saw, no to mention kyle wingwalking on the jet waco!

mmmm, those things that holds the attachment of the cylinder to the power section are named nuts...not bolts...one more thing and please don't hate me but leaving the aircraft unattended with no brake rider and the engine running going through the front for leak checks is a way to have yourself kill and put other humans at risk, please that aircraft is to show skills, have a good flight...

Unfortunately there’s no real good videos of the act. It was an extremely hard act to video because there was so much going on at once. This short video is about the best edited one out there. But there are videos on KZfaq just search “Masters of disaster airshow” or “Xteam Airshow”.

@@GhostRider50918 me and my dad saw them in 2003 in oklahoma city. I was going to the A&P school where the planes were being hangered. I watched the Franklins assemble the plain the day before the show...My dad and I were just awestruck...My dad was a pilot (owned a Taylorcraft) and he talked about Jim Franklin a lot as I was growing up

@@Pilotc180 Bob Hoover is arguably the greatest aviator of all time. I hung out with him at many airshows over the years and respect the man greatly. That being said he was not a big part or influence in my flying career. We all have our own heroes and mentors that may different from others.
