I'd need a Subway sandwich and have American Chopper on in the background while set up everything. Lol. I have no clue why but that's what makes me happy when adjusting my set up. Lol

Love the rack build. I also have a large double bass setup. I use all standa right now and have been thinking about a rack system for a while. Very cool. Ike the flexibility and being able to get sone if the cymbals, the hihat closer, etc. Very nice.

Thank you guys. I've been wanting to add some side tubes to my stealth just like that. And, I didn't know the black clamps are better/ more solid than the others. Super cool and helpful and informative. 👍

Awesome build 👍👍👍 One thing I would have loved to see is his old setup compared to this rack setup. Kinda like a before and after 😊

Will this system accommodate for a single base drum as well though? Looking to get my toms off my base drum and cymbals fully racked.

Big fan of Gibraltar. Nice build. What are the two extra curved bars on the side for? Ecstatics?
@arkay.productions11 күн бұрын
Two of the curved bars are for the overhead mic's they use and the other ones behind it aesthetics.

Personally, I saw Art adapting his cymbal placement to the rack in this video, versus the rack accommodating to Art (Splash example). My take is, Art shouldn't have to change where he strikes his splash because of the configurations/ limitations of the rack. Art is a good sport, and is open to adapting his setup, but that solidified the versatility of the standard rack, versus the low profile one. A limitation like this would be a negative sell to me. Then again, I'm also not a skilled professional musician like Art.

I appreciate your take on this. Love seeing different points of view. When we went into this process, we started fresh. We wanted to try new placements to help with ergonomics and playability. Just like many of us drummers, we look for the best way to do things and that’s by trying it out. The awesome part about drum racks is the customization it allows and Gibraltar hardware offers a lot of flavors for different tastes. 🙏
@realityvsfantasy192911 күн бұрын
Thanks for the reply Travis. I am biased as I built my own setup closely mimicking Art’s prior rack setup and even drum configuration, and loved the endless possibilities of hardware/ cymbal/ drum orientation, and especially the streamlined and coordinated look of same. I used two Gibraltar curved racks and connected them up together center-wise with a short curved bar. Literally everything is connected to the rack for simple ease and relocation.

Digging the orange Audi too. I've had some form of Gibralter rack or hardware since the 90's. It is the best.
