Great overview of a great artist. Not as familiar with some of the middle and late career stuff you showed. I recently picked up 2 OG FMP's that'll be showing in a video soon. Have you heard the live album he did with Oxbow?

nice video as usual Joe! Big fan of his visual art as well, he had some iconic covers that went perfectly with the music. Was fortunate to see him live three times, with William Parker/Hamid Drake, the Chicago Tentet (probably the loudest show I've ever seen in my life) and in duo with Heather Leigh.

@@Paneeks1960 kind of both. ICP was started by Willem Breuker, Misha Mengelberg, and Han Bennink. They appeared on quite a few records together earlier on in the label’s history but Breuker left in the mid 70s to form his own group. Most sessions feature Bennink and Mengelberg though (at least that is what my limited understanding is)

Enjoyed seeing these Joe. I got into Peter Brotzmann from the album Machine Head. For the late sixties it was one heck of a heavy album. I think it is Machine Gun 'Third Take' that is completely bombastic. The album Nipples is also a free jazz standout. A little tough to get into at times. But so creative. How is that one compared to his early releases? Good to hear that you are concentrating on adding only albums that you really want. Thanks J~ Rob/Boston
