Slightly but if you really want a darkening oil, id go with Angelus pure neatsfoot oil.

Step 0: prep work area, don nitrile or latex gloves Step 1: remove laces, insert shoe trees Step 2-finish: wipe down/brush shoves, apply creme and/or wax polish, buff with brush.

Did you use a wet towel afterwards to wipe it off or was it dry?
