I do remember the Road being a little rutted out in some areas, outback would work, but like Corolla might have ground clearance issues, mostly car would just have to take it slow

Is this place only for dirk bike or can I take a rzr?
@upcountryoffroad29062 ай бұрын
Hey, thanks for checking in! Unfortunately this place is just for Dirt Bikes and ATVS. The actual entrance is kind of narrow like little over 48" wide. For RZR you might want to check out Hollister Hills OHV park. Since they allow full size there, I believe RZRs are also allowed.

@upcountryoffroad29062 ай бұрын
Yeah I talked to the owner of the company. He wanted some free standing rain protection that you could still easily remove. They worked great. The galley cover was a new addition for them to help keep items in place on bumpy dirt roads. Overall lots of fun design details!

@upcountryoffroad29065 ай бұрын
Yeah, I wanted to check out the loop road by the Reservoir and it is a fun opportunity to cross the dam in snowmobiles. Your right, even now it is quite a bit deeper at Iron mountain or Kirkwood elevation.

Any camping along this trail? Thanks.
@upcountryoffroad29067 ай бұрын
AustinH7 yes, there are several good places to camp on the lower end by Near Bear River reservoir. A few on spur roads in the middle portion. But not a lot when it gets narrow and rocky. Then once you get to Allen or Mud Lake top portion (where you can exit to Highway 88) there are lots of Dispersed camping areas. If you watch my newer video I drive up to the top end of this trail where it dead ends. Several spots to camp up there. Be warned. Looked like there was already some snow in the area so the top end by Allen/ Mud Lake might have a few inches of snow. Good luck, be sure to post a video of your adventure!

@upcountryoffroad2906 Жыл бұрын
We went in the Fall and Roads were good. This year because of high snow you probably want to wait until August. www.fs.usda.gov/goto/r5/SnowDepth This is a good site to see snow levels. Ideally you should have dry roads after a few weeks of Sunny days after all the snow is gone from the area. Good luck! Awesome spot.

Yeah, I could of spent another hour just playing on the Granite. The good news is further up the ridge there is another spot where the trees were saved that has a few good camping spots. This was my first trip into the burn zone. The undergrowth is coming back, but will be a lot of years till the the trees grow back.
