Of course there is a KZfaq video of on of my favourite child toys. My Big Jim would karate-chop the alligator unconscious every single time. My kid brother didn't agree and pointed at the hunting gear. I couldn't disagree so Big Jim became a proficient alligator hunter, besides a 'Can karate-chop EVERYTHING' sensei. Dad initially vehemently disagreed regarding 'a friggin' doll for our oldest son?' but mum pointed out the theme: 'Spy/karateka/alligator-hunter/tough-guy-at-everything'. Dad finally succumbed. Thanks mum and dad, dived in the oceans, climbed mountains, walked epic trails and whatnot. Ok, haven't cought an alligator, yet.

Big Jim seems to be one of the un-sung action figures and line of toys from the '70s-80s. It ended after a brief run in the US, but it continued and developed everywhere else. Maybe you'll get your gator yet!🏆

Big Jim was the favored toy amongst me and my friends. Between us we had a lot of gear. I had the racing motorcycle, the jungle truck and the camp set; another friend had the camper; two brothers had the plane, kung fu studio and rescue rig. Those were the days.

Well done. In my experience, the longer you leave it in the sun, the better. The sun really helps to get the yellowing out. I think if you did the Wampa again and left him in the sun longer, you'd be much happier with the results.

Being born in 1968 and as child loving George Reeves as Superman and Burt Ward and Adam West as Robin and Batman, when I learned of the figures, I had to have the Mego figures. Great memories.. I loved those toys andstill have one or two of them all these years later. BTE, loved this video!

The Steve Austin figure was fun to have and play with as a kid. I loved watching the Six Million Dollar Man every Saturday night with my family. I badly wanted the Steve Austin figure because of what the figure could do and it looked like Lee Majors. The figure could do what action couldn't do. He could lift his engine block and we could see what he saw by looking in the back of his bionic eye. I played with it for hours. Loved it. I recently bought another one on eBay for sentimental reasons but I don't play with it.

Didn't have this set, but thanks to the original suit mostly being something I had pieced together from yardsales I had enough to have great fun as a kid (this/that, a plastic octopus from somewhere, the Flipper show, and Filmations Aquaman cartoon started me on my love of the ocean and all things aquatic-adventury). We were so lucky; they really put thought and love into these products without charging us an arm and a leg. Definitely gonna subscribe.

My cousins from New York came to live with us in the early 80s and they brought this. We were 5/6 years old. Incredible that they made this toy given the film was an 18.

Got this for Christmas in '66, could not wait for summer to test it out. Took it to a swim lake in northern New Jersey and watched it glide through the water underwater while I was underwater, then it stopped. The battery compartment had flooded out and then corroded really bad, and later GI Joe's body joints rusted too. Totally devastating toy loss.

Ugh that's frustrating, especially as a kid to have it flood and stop like that. Not that it really makes it better but you know from this episode you definitely weren't the only one who experienced that. Thanks for watching 👍

Do you think normal hydrogen paroxide gel would be OK to put on a 1980s cherry coke robot or would it mess up the red

This is a classic vintage toy. Back then, it was too controversial to sell to kids. Now, those kids are adults buying the vintage and newer lines of the Alien franchise toys. I wasn't quite 2 years old when Alien was released in 1979. I was like around 4 or 5 when I first watched it. I wasn't scared when I first watched it. I was fascinated more than anything, especially with the John Hurt chest burster scene. It's high up in my all-time favorite sci-fi/horror movies list.

My brother emailed today that he'd acquired one of these recently. Playing in Google found your video here. Most useful, thanks! Sad to admit that I have zero memory of the battery powered features of the one we, I think officially I, had back in the day. Very much remember the colors, the shape, and the barrel; after that, memory is blank.

That was cool, I’d never actually seen a clear pic of the Cy-Protector Cy-Buckle (the belt) before. Maybe the fact that it can’t be easily attached is the reason why it never shows up in photos.

My mom (Santa Claus) got me this set for Christmas, 1970 when I was seven years old. Mine came with black boots, not silver, and a brown haired Man of Action like yours. I always wondered why he didn’t come with gloves. My capsule had the glow in the dark white interior. I played with this astronaut and capsule for hours upon hours. I still have my capsule and spacesuit 53 years later. Thanks for this trip down memory lane!
