You looks like you really wants to be in a shrimper...25 minutes of showing of the men on the boat and 5 minutes of sped up actual shrimp work that i think most people really came to see

I was a long line fisherman on the Miss Marie out of Dunedin Marina Dunedin Fl back in the early 80's before the massive regulations set in. 62 now, in Carolina.... But still dreaming about returning to South FL and bandit fishing on my own small boat...

Sea roaches! Yum Yum! 7 days? Back in the day we stayed out fishing for 21 days.... I was a long liner in Gulf of Mexico decades ago before all the changes in regulations. Run short on salted bait? Run three mile shark lines at night! Miss Marie out of Dunedin Marina Fla... There was an old steel hulled shrimper out of Dunedin also....The Blue Ribbon.... I wonder where they are now....🤔

Our native domestic shrimp species are so delicious, but unfortunately our local fisheries are having problems with invasive Asian species of everything including shrimp. Their larger species of tiger shrimp are amazing size wise but like all things Asian have little flavor. Of course, if your buying from the big box outlets like Sams or Costco's those shrimp are imported from terrible land locked shrimp farms bred in putrid waters, toxic for consumption, but that's what your buying. Remember REAL Flavorful shrimp? no.. i mean blow your doors off with every bite?.. chances are.. nope! I myself have not had amazing shrimp since the 1980s. and again, im not talking about good shrimp, im talking AMAZING shrimp. both size and flavor. flesh that pop with every bite. I doubt most people especially young people who dont in regions with local fisheries have even any familiarity with what shrimp actually taste like. we need to support our local domestic fisheries.

I want to say this with respect, why do fishing fleets charge more per kilo compared to a land farmer I think there is far more expense for a land farmer which sells their products cheaper

You are clueless if you truly believe that commercial fishing is not absolutely destroying every fishery on earth. There is no such thing as sustainable gill netting

The only ones guilty of wiping out resources is the human population of earth, you’re a bunch of misguided fools if you believe that the problem lies with the fishermen. While you post such ignorance you are not helping anyone with your stupidity. The earth is heating up, and we are now experiencing the greatest migration in recorded history. Everything is moving towards the poles.
