I have an SoH 1 video tutorial as well. It should run without any customizations but there is a crash when you pull out the deku stick which can be fixed with modded files.. I describe that in the video as well. Some people are saying that it crashes at jabu dungeon which appears to be an SoH compilation issue. Not sure if/when this will be fixed

For now, you can use the fix posted on the MuOS discord: discordapp.com/channels/1152022492001603615/1180080911434399744/1255211710478942208 Do the install as per my instructions then copy over the 'progressor' file from the MuOS discord. It should replace an existing file in the port/tmntsr port folder.

PPSSPP is free. The "pro" version (gold) is just a paid donation. There is no difference between the regular version included in stock and the gold version

It's likely that you just have an older version of PPSSPP. You would need to update the firmware to get a newer version. It's not as scary as it seems. Check out rg35xx h custom firmware and install guide video. I tried to make it as easy as possible to show you how to update the firmware or change it

If you are using muos, postmaster is in the apps menu. The ports folder is created when you download the first port via postmaster

Check your internet connection. Muos isn't the most reliable when it comes to showing the true state of your wifi. Sometimes it says connected but it's not really

None of the cfw options come with games included. You will have to find your own games and add them

Check my rg35xx h n64 video. I have listed the emulator core and graphics plugin I used to play the game. Works well with only a graphics issue when opening the inventory menu

Iconoclasts needs the Linux version so you'll need to use the steam console downloader method using the steamdb id

It works just the same as any PC install. If you have a coop save file then you can play and connect with that

Inside the TMNT ports folder should be a logs.txt file you can check to see what kind of errors show up

For psp it is better, for n64 it is much worse. For the rest of the systems it's about the same

If you are using a retroarch core, you could try increasing the deadzone on the joystick. Open retroarch then go to Settings -> input -> and increase the Analog Deadzone to 0.1 This will make the joystick less sensitive to small movements but it might negate the drift if it is minor. Otherwise you could always try to replace the joystick directly with a switch joystick replacement. I have a written post about replacing the joystick in the rg353v which has a very similar layout to the r36s

Shortly after I made this video, they updated the port so that the config.ini is no longer required. Everything can be updated in game using the SoH menu

Press and hold the X button then R1. Then press X again. This should select the menu where you can navigate using dpad

Do you mean boxart in the menu when selecting a game? If so, then Yes but you need to scrape the artwork yourself. It does not have a built in scrapper

The Linux PPSSPP has been updated with lots of improvements since I made this video and so the VS should have pretty similar performance though android psp emulation will have slightly better.

Gauntlet Legends is actually quite hard to emulate. It will not work well on the r36s

Unfortunately not that I have found. Even lowering the resolution and setting graphics to low and trying all of the different emulators, I still can't get it to run. You can try the Dreamcast version or PS1 version as that is easier to emulate.

Portmaster is still in testing on muOs but most ports should be ok. Which games did you have issues with?

I think that mupen defaults to 320x240

Which OS? Are you installing ports via an updated portmaster or installing manually from the website? Also not all ports will be "ready to run". Some ports require additional files that you need to find on your own in order to work. You can check the portmaster wiki for additional file instructions for those games

@RetroHandheldGuides I have the ROCKNIX OS. Oh ok I see. I didn't know you needed additional files. Yeah, only the ready to run games work. I was installing from the pormaster update. I'll check out the wiki and see what files I need. I appreciate it!

I have a bunch of r36s gameplay testing videos on the channel as well. Short answer is that PSP will not run everything. The r36s has a weaker chip than the trimui smart pro which also can't run every PSP game. Warriors will not run well on r36s. Haven't tried the others yet

@@RetroHandheldGuides that sucks , flatout is the exact same as pc, I played on my childhood when my brother got his first graphic card for games and it runs well on iPhone. Over here in asia, a jailbroken psp cost around 5-6k and on the Amazon app the r36s cost 5.9k and considering that it has tons of emulators for other systems the r36s seems better than going for psp’s but too bad ima have to stick to playing on my iPhone with game pad. At least emulating it on iPhone works better than on that thing. It’s just screen touch controls don’t feel good

If your main system is PSP then an actual PSP will always be the best option per $ spent. If you want a handheld that can emulate every PSP game plus a bunch of other systems then you are looking more at the $100USD option like the retroid pocket 2s
