Question. Is feeding your ferret only whole prey, or at least majority of their diet healthy? As a former reptile owner feeding whole prey is very familiar to me

An exclusively whole prey diet can of course be healthy. The problem is that there isn't much variety in whole prey options. For a snake you can get away with exclusively feeding mice, but not for a ferret. You can feed a variety of mice, chicks, pigeon, rabbit, which should be fine so long as they're eating the liver too.

Id be to afraid of a bird swooping and grabbing them, even if you are close it just takes a second for a big bird to strike

Oh that's awful. By now you will know whether the ferret has had a severe reaction or not. Such as vomiting, significant swelling, diahorrea, etc, in which case you need a vet. If there are no remaining significant symptoms then he is already over the worst.

I thought ferrets were a whitish colour, this one I understand is a polecat.

Ah, no a Polecat is a wild animal. The wild ancestor to the ferret which is the domesticated version. All ferrets started out with polecat colours, and then whenever there was a colour mutation like a white ferret then whilst this would have died of pretty quickly in the wild as a result of poor camouflage, humans thought the colour was cool, so kept breeding white ferrets. Still, even today white is the least common of the ferret coat colours, with the Polecat colour still being most common.

My ferret has terror screeched twice in his 3 years so far, once just yelling in the cage at night because he was mad. And then another one time he got into my silverware drawer. He got a fork caught in between his toes and screamed
