@@DavidSmith-cc5hk I know what you mean, he has a way with words that is very rare. I can name a lot! What kinds of music do you like. My taste is eclectic, so I know good stuff in all kinds of music. Benjamin Tod/ Lost Dog Street Band, Hayden Karchmer/The Hill County Devil, Ian Noe, Colter Wall, John Moreland. I'm sure you have probably heard some of Jesse Welles folk music, he puts out new music like every day or so. Literally lol, never seen anything like it. Most folks don't know about his older rock music under the name WELLES. His songs "Seventeen", "Hold Me Like I'm Leaving", and "Rock and Roll" are some of the best classic rock I have heard for a long time! His live versions at Paste Studios are better than the album version.

Rick is an accomplished actor, he was the little boy in a movie called, "The Champ" and you can see she looks just like him. Likely Hays on lead guitar shot a lot of this one. Sam maps out the stories and videos, and edits. He shoots too, if he’s not on camera. They make all their own videos.

Sam writes, helps film, and edits all the video’s (in addition to singing, song-writing, and forging direction of arrangements). Together with Lead guitarist and his gf John Hays and Nyssa , they have Outaline Productions. The rest of the band pitches in too. All their videos are self produced. Sam isn’t saying his friends aren’t there. He’s saying they get it and reassure him that he can go home. And yes, he’s rolling through a lot of moods in the song, and the video, which is part of why he is questioning how his friends hang in there. Thanks so much for discovering and helping promote this fabulous band, and great and talented group of guys!

Love this song...some long time BM fans are not overly enthusiastic about it as they want hard rock 100% of the time...but to each their own. This to me is a very approachable song for none rock fans...get them to look into the band and have them be amazed by this talented band. This is a song which was a collaboration piece with Mike Einziger from Incubus. He provided the opening/closing rifts and had some input to the creative process. They opened for Incubus in Japan on 5/1/24 where they did the first live performance of this song. Mikey-chan joined them on stage to play it that night. They released this OMV that night after the concert and Mikey-chan also joined them to watch the premier. Band-Maid has a very deep and diverse portfolio. Don't try to pigeon-toe them into a genre, as they mix and match them at will in the same song. The genre is Band-Maid. Keep rocking with the Maids...enjoy the journey. PO! 🕊 🤘😆🤘

Saiki, lead singer, with the blue rose, voice has changed. She has had vocal surgery to remove polyps in the summer of 2017. Which required to her to have additional vocal training, which has lead to a more powerful and healthy voice. Prior to the surgery, she often needed full days of rest without speaking at all. Now no problems...this was song 27 of 33 on the evening. If you like bass, Band-Maid is the band for you. Bass is often featured as this band lets everyone shine. No egos, which is why they have so much fun playing with each other and why their energy is so good. Also just one of the many reason we love them. Continue on with the Maids...the journey is long (130+ to go), but so worth it. PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘

You're never "killing time" when you listen to Band-Maid. First, you're adding joy into your life and you're gaining appreciation for music from around the world (especially Japan). Also, the more Band-maid Music you listen to, the more you'll realize they defy rock genres. They can incorporate ANY genre into their music (sometimes multiple genres) and make the music and the sound their own. What we Maidiacs call their sound is "Band-Maid Music" (something distinct and uniquely theirs).

This is new for them. Even after a decade they are still finding new sounds. This was written with the help of Mike Einziger, guitarist/songwriter of Incubus. They jump between a ton of subgenres and blending of different subgenres of rock. They really are a box of chocolates, but even better, cuz it's all sweet and no coconut. I suggest Domination LIVE, not the MV, next. Or maybe Blooming or Warning! or DICE.

Its my opinion that the lyrics are Miku's Song to her Band mates but it could also be read as the band's song to their fans. Miku's lyrics are notorious for their interpretations into double meanings and underlying intent. As I'm sure you've heard already the genre is Band-Maid. They are a musical color unto themselves and will play what and wherever their musical whims take them. As a true fan you just sit back and enjoy their musical journey with them because no matter where it goes itsI guaranteed to be a good ride.

"How they are Now" - Band-Maid never gets stuck in a rut. They like variety and will write songs that purposely different. Yes, they rock out 9 times out of 10, but when they dial it back and show their softer, poppier side they shine just as brightly. "Bestie" is another one of these. Band-Maid's best example of this is "Puzzle". The official live of "Puzzle" from Tokyo Garden Theater is pure sonic fury, that explodes and keeps on pounding. But they also performed an acoustic version of "Puzzle": a duet with Saiki singing accompanied by Kanami on guitar, singing gentle backing vocals. This version starts with a childlike music box intro that cues up a quiet outpouring of sorrowful introspection. The two versions are 180 degrees apart, yet both are emotionally powerful. If you attend a Band-Maid Okyu-ji, they will rock your socks off, but heir will be one or two softer tunes. Band-Maid will write "off-label" songs as tribute to the fans or as an expression of gratitude or encouragement. Examples like "Memorable", "Smile", "About Us", or "Page" - if you listen to them all in sequence, keep a box of tissues handy, you will tear up.

Bestie, in the vein of other great mid-tempo Band-Maid songs like Daydreaming, About Us, Memorable, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, Wonderland, Awkward, Start Over, Mirage, At the Drop of a Hat and Smile, was co-written by Michael Einziger of Incubus. MISA's playing and bass tone are setting new standards... and Akane's drumming is so in-the-pocket and distinguishable... and Kanami's solo is Daydreaming masterful! The recording and mix are as enjoyable as the song and beautiful MV! And Miku’s English lyrics are heartfelt. Is Band-Maid a band of fashion-forward, trend-setting Besties? 💞 Thx, Mikey, Band-Maid and Time Killa! Well I suppose being young could be an excuse for not knowing the 14th highest rated guitarist of all time, from the legendary band Pink Floyd.... Watch this interview by CBS of the man: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iNmCn82Jy8eypWQ.html ( 2015-09-19 - David Gilmour - Another Side of David Gilmour - CBS This Morning ) Then perhaps watch these two examples of his works: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/atV7ZK2U1JyudoE.html ( Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts 1-5 & 7) [PULSE Restored & Re-Edited] ) Which is a lament about loosing Syd Barrett to mental illness. And then this, which has one of the most incredible guitar solos of all time: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bdGHn5CLrLPbm4U.html ( Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb (PULSE Restored & Re-Edited) ) But aside from these examples, your musical education/journey is wholly incomplete until you have listened to Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd. The entire album from start to finish. It is one of the highest selling albums of all time, with incredible soundscapes and visceral lyrics that appeal to any generation. It is pure musical and lyrical genius, with incredible engineering as well for being released in 1973.

No need to trash a person for not knowing David Gilmore and/or his being with Pink Floyd. But yes, if you want to understand this guitarist and his history in Pink Floyd, you can start with pretty much any Pink Floyd song from the albums Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were here or The Wall. Better yet, listen to one of them as a whole album bu yourself instead of reacting to single songs. That is, after all, how they were created: as concept album. Back in the day when it was normal to turn in an album, sit in your room and listem to it start to finish.
