Thank you for talking about the split, I have been seeing people say that roots split into two parts is bad but I was like when you're interlocking how can you have anything else? I think I might have been getting traditional loc advice mixed into my search results

I keep doing two strand twists and trying to save up money to get them done. A part of me wants to treat myself and pay for it. The other part want to do it myself cause life keeps lifeing!!!! Lol. But how far down do you braid before twisting?

Beautifully done sis! I know you mentioned that you didn't use a grid pattern but can you recommend what technique you used to part the sections for each loc? The sizes looked so uniformed. I want to attempt to do my own microlocs but parting is my biggest struggle 😭😫

I’m trying to see the diff between sister locs and micro and they look the same. But can someone tell me when u get micro locs how come they are frizzy on ends and not like regular locs where it’s twisted all the way and smooth to ends. Can someone explain please

@@lext5916 microlocs can be started a variety of ways ( twos strand twists, braids, coils ) vs sister locs are interlocked from root to tip and must be done by a certified sisterlock consultant. you can start yours with interlocking but they’d still be considered microlocs unless you are a SL consultant

My hair is just like yours LOCS are the same size and my ends are curly. I use distilled water, jojoba oil and glycerin. Every time I wet my hair just automatically curls.

The uneven parts and she did like 10 loops to lock the loc. is that what it takes? I want locs so bad but this seems a lot. Do you have to loop so many times ? How do u know u have looped enough?

She has a lot of new growth, if you retie earlier there are less loops to do, but it’s just based on how much new growth you have. Also in my opinion you just stop right before it’s all the way to the scalp, so it’s not too tight, but some go all the way to the scalp.
