Love this interview. Jake is very thoughtful and insightful...and I couldn't agree more on his perspective on entering politics. I'm curious if either you or Jake have been paying attention to Veterans for all Voters - an independent veterans group advocating for Final Four/Final Five voting to elect representatives and senators. I agree with Jake that right now the two party machine swallows up people of integrity and forces you into choices where you toe a party line or lose your position; Final Five voting changes that incentive structure and could lead to more principled veterans running for office!

Can you ask Rep Kelly why he didn’t put in an abortion bill when roe was overturned. Yet now in campaign says get Dems control of house senate WH AND he will put in a bill. He uses women as a tool for votes. What a liar

Mark Kelly was an Independent until 2018 and turned Democrat to run for the Senate seat. I have a problem with that because Independents seem to only join the Demo party for their $. Like Bernie Sanders did, and then when he lost, he whined Democrats support a life long Democrat with $12 million campaign chest more than him! Then when Bernie lost, he did not help our candidate, he left and became an Independent again....passing NO Legislation as usual. IMO

The US is already divided. I am a Veteran (79 - 85) and my concern is that we don't have a hand in the "2 State Solution". Israel is the only nation that has a land deed. It is in the Bible, and I believe that there's a warning to those that divide the land God gave to Israel. I would not want anything to happen to the US, for the Living God to be angry with US. I Know some people have said the Bible is "children's stories" but I'm a firm believer. I have Ukraine in my prayers, I believe they are going to Win.
