The bull did not offer a decent safe shot opportunity, that turkey!!!

If Yellowstone or another National Park, using calls is prohibited.

It's always nice to have the internet police around to shame people.
@brendan83633 жыл бұрын
@@paulconnell4173 Whatever. If you shame that easily, then think about that. There are places to call, hunt, kill wildlife (and I do), and places to just give them a break (and I do). Too many idjits effing around in National Parks just for a selfie or a KZfaq clip.

First time you called in a bull eh? OH YOUR HOOKED NOW, every fall you will start rubbing your head on trees and begin herding your wife around the house. 👍👍

Lol, my 2 year old son is already hooked on bugling... and equally driving my wife insane.

public park ? you can hear people talking ?
@MattRShort5 жыл бұрын
As I mentioned in the description, there was a road that you could see the elk from. We weren't the only spectators who stopped to watch them. I just drove down the road farther to get into a good position to call from. The people you hear are at their cars, not far from where the elk were bedded. My assumption is the elk got tired of humans being so close, taking pictures and got up to move to a more secluded spot. That's when I started calling them my direction.

Just wow. What a dream scenario. Dang

Yeah, for real! Headed up this weekend, and praying something similar happen. ;) I've gotten far better at bugling too... so we'll see. Called in a couple of hunters last weekend. LOL, oops. Had to apologize for waisting their time.
@ld59545 жыл бұрын
@@MattRShort yeah well, while it might be fun to practice on calling them in, you are also educating them! Therefore making it more difficult for the next guy that might try to kill that bull!

One of the best if not the best elk video's on the web.

Wow, Thank you! That feels like a bit of an exaggeration... but I appreciate the compliment. Haha, I too still love watching this a few years later.

WHY did you not shoot???not big enough?
@MattRShort6 жыл бұрын
Though I had an over the counter archery tag, I couldn't hunt where I was doing this calling. I mainly started calling these elk when I saw them for the experience. I had only begun learning to call a few months earlier and I thought I'd test out what I'd learned. I was in my jeans and a grey shirt during this calling experience... not hunting. Wish my season went the same way! ;P

Hahaha, fair enough... but that's flippin rad Chris! Haha, did you actually use Peroxide, or that was just the color? And your welcome! Glad it spoke to you as well... the whole chapter is sick. Check it out when you get a sec.

The dreads worked for me man all those few years ago! Hairstyle I don't regret: Mohawk. The 'hawk opened doors for me with students or at least made it easier. Hairstyle I DO regret: Peroxide blonde gel spiked... oh yes... really... and I had a thick 'stache at the time too. No, you won't get a picture. Also - Isa43:18-19 - shockingly relevant to me TODAY. Thank you.

Lol, absolutely! But maybe I can expound for just a sec... their like a Yoda's tunic, a Hipster's fixed-gear bike, or the Canadian suffix "eh", w/ little to no party in the back or business in the front but chill AAAALL around. ;) Helpful?

Thanks for the Vlog Matt! It is cool to see what our risen savior is doing in your life! I am stoked about your dreads. Would you mind explaining next time how dreads help with evangelism opportunities? I think I have lived in the suburbs for too long.
